Adventure Playground in Irvine

Adventure Playground Irvine

Adventure Playground has recently reopened in the city of Irvine and offers children an epic day of endless fun. From mud to water play, children will unleash their creativity at this fun Orange County park. Dress your kids in clothes that you don’t mind to get dirty, old shoes and get ready for some fun in the mud.

Adventure Playground is located at the University Community Park at 1 Beech Tree Lane in Irvine. There is free parking, free admission, and we recommend bringing lunch because your kids are not going to want to leave.

Play Structure Adventure Playground

The Play Structure
It is probably one of the best that we have seen in Orange County. There were a ton of kids at Adventure Playground when we were visiting, and our kids didn’t feel crowded at all. There are mesh tunnels, a trampoline and plenty of opportunities to climb.

Slides at Adventure Playground

The Slides
We have always had to go to Bluebird Park in Laguna Beach to enjoy hill slides, but now that this park is open, we can go here. There are two sets of slides in the hills of the park (one small set and one larger set).

Mud Play Adventure Playground

The Mud
Be prepared for your kids to get dirty. There are multiple giant mud puddles for kids to jump, roll around and play. There were kids literally rolling around in the mud, and some were having mud ball fights.

Water Play at Adventure Playground

The Water
There are old fashioned water pumps that children can pump water that leads into the mud puddles or use the water to wash off their feet before heading home. If it is a warm day – I recommend bringing your kids in a swim suit.

Building at Adventure Playground Irvine

The Building
The creativity is endless. There are giant legos and uniquely shaped objects for children to build. Your kids will not want to stop using their imagination to build and build.

Art at Adventure Playground in Irvine

Crafts
There are tables where children can do certain crafts (they were offering bead making when we visited)

Tips
I recommend bringing a picnic lunch. There are plenty of places where parents can lay down a blanket under a tree and have lunch in between playing. (There are also a couple of picnic tables). I also recommend bringing a change of clothes – your kids WILL get dirty.

  1. This park is amazing! My boys were immediately attracted to the mud. We were prepared with extra clothes, however next time I will bring a towel. I also had to ask the park leaders for a few plastic bags to put all the muddy stuff in. One thing I personally enjoyed was that they had kid friendly music playing on a loud speaker. It was a nice touch.

  2. It was such a great place! I have one tip to add. I would bring a beach pop up for shade and make sure your picnic blanket is water proof. The grass is soggy and there is limited shade. At the top of the park there is a great area to setup a beach like pop up with tent and blanket.

  3. Hey there, You have done a great job. I will definitely digg it and personally recommend to
my friends. I am sure they will be benefited from this
    web site.
