Best Beach Taco Stand – Pedro’s Tacos
We dined as a guest of the venue
There is nothing I love more than a delicious taco. I’m even guilty of taking a day trip to Tijuana just to sink my taste buds into a tasty taco. Whenever I hear of a taco joint that I haven’t tried in Orange County, I always make plans to check it out. Many of my friends have been raving about Pedro’s Tacos in San Clemente, so when we had beach plans with friends at Calafia Beach, we stopped at Pedro’s for tacos.
When we first arrived at the adorable taco stand, there was a line of cars that wrapped around the corner waiting to get eats from the drive thru. We found one of the last parking spots, and while we were walking up to the counter to order, we bumped into multiple people that we knew.
There are a couple of picnic tables to eat and a walk-up order window. The first thing that I noticed was the huge tacos everyone was eating, and then I noticed the incredible pricing on the menu. It was one of the most reasonably priced taco spots in OC, so we ordered a little bit of everything.
My younger son loves his bean and cheese burritos, and he devoured his Pedro’s Tacos burrito within seconds. The burrito was larger than most, and yet he couldn’t stop until every last crumb was gone.
Then there were the tacos – the tacos!! They were all amazing, but the two that were my favorites was the fish taco, shrimp taco, and carne asada taco. The fish taco was one of the best fish tacos I have ever had in Orange County – I have been craving more ever since coming to Pedro’s for lunch. My daughter loved the fried chicken taco because she loved the uniqueness and the flavor profile of the taco.
We then headed to the beach dreaming of tacos and making plans to come to San Clemente more often for lunch at Pedro’s. They have two locations in San Clemente (2313 S. El Camino Real) and (550 N. El Camino Real) with plans to open more locations soon. When looking for somewhere new to bring the family for lunch, plan a beach day with a stop at Pedro’s Tacos for lunch. I guarantee it will be your new favorite OC taco spot.
