Boudin SF New BBQ Pork Dishes

We dined as a guest of the venue

Clam chowder in a bread bowl at Boudin SF

Whenever I am shopping at South Coast Plaza, I can’t resist getting a taste of San Francisco by having lunch at Boudin SF. Nothing can compare to their delicious, rich clam chowder inside of a sourdough bread bowl, and their all-new BBQ Pork menu items.

I am always used to getting the same thing every time that I dine at Boudin SF, but since I had heard so much hype about their new BBQ pork dishes, I couldn’t wait to try them. The dishes lived up to all the buzz and were some of the most flavorful bbq pork dishes that I have sunk my taste buds into.

Classic bbq pulled pork sandwich at Boudin SF

Since I had lunch with my three kids, we all ordered a different dish so that we could share, and find out which new dish was everyone’s favorite. My older son usually gets a turkey sandwich on a croissant at Boudin SF, so he ordered the classic bbq pork sandwich. The dish featured a toasted sourdough baguette filled with slow-roasted and hand-pulled pork that was topped with sweet bbq sauce and house-made coleslaw. He couldn’t stop raving about the garlic flavored bread, and devoured every bite of the sandwich.

Aloha pork sandwich at Boudin SF

It was the aloha pork sandwich on the menu that caught my daughters eye. The bbq pulled pork was served on a garlic-buttered sourdough baguette and mixed with an island inspired ginger soy barbecue sauce that had a small hint of honey. The pulled pork was then topped with a caramelized pineapple, red onion, and cilantro. The sandwich was delicious and large enough that she was able to bring half of it home for lunch the following day.

Luau pork salad at Boudin SF

Boudin pulled pork salad

As my kids enjoyed their sandwiches, I was busy falling in love with the luau pork salad. Inside of a large bowl was a mixture of spring greens topped with pulled pork tossed in a ginger-soy barbecue sauce, caramelized pineapple, red onion, cilantro, red bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, and toasted almonds. The salad was served with a zesty ginger soy barbecue vinaigrette and a freshly baked sourdough roll. My tastebuds were tantalized with every bite, and the salad quickly became one of my favorite dishes at Boudin.
