Favorite Fall Television Series

Posted by on Sep 30, 2015 in Entertainment, Television Shows | 0 comments

Sponsored While we are still experiencing sweltering summer temperatures, fall is officially here. Normally I cuddle up on the couch with a cup of coffee in front of the fireplace watching my favorite fall television series, and now I’m watching them with an iced latte and a fan blowing. Just like the crazy HOT Southern California weather we have been experiencing, things are heating up with the fall television lineup, including my ultimate favorite, Scandal. Scandal is back, and better than ever this year as Olivia Pope continues her steamy love affair with the President of the United States. While Olivia Pope and the President are finally back together on Scandal, Miss Piggy and Kermit have officially broken up at the start of The Muppets first prime time series. The series is a more “grown-up” version of The Muppets...

Posted by on Sep 24, 2015 in Entertainment, Television Shows | 0 comments

We were invited to attend the world premiere of Sprout’s NINA’S WORLD. You might wonder what makes this show different from others out there, DIVERSITY.  Having a child who is hearing impaired, you could imagine the joy on my daughter’s face when she saw that one of the characters in Nina’s World is hearing impaired and wears hearing aids.  What a wonderful moment as a parent to see my daughters face light up and see someone who is just like her on the TV.  Nina’s World has a multilingual approach as well as has many different ethnicities and characters with disabilities.  Well done Sprout for portraying these characters so well. Nina’s World is a wonderful new animated show that follows  an adventurous 6 year old, Nina and her best friend; a talking stuffed animal star, who only she can...

Tips for Monitoring Your Kids Television Time

Posted by on Aug 31, 2015 in Entertainment, Family, Hot Topics, Parenting, Tech, Television Shows | 1 comment

Sponsored Let’s be honest that monitoring kids television time is a challenge for many parents. With all the great series, movies, and documentaries, it can be tempting for children to try and spend most of their free time watching television. Now that the kids are back in school, and spending less time being active outdoors, it is more important than ever to monitor their screen time so that they can live a well-balanced lifestyle. Charting I am the queen of charts. With our family being so busy with school, sports, and work, charts are the easiest way that my family has found to balance our kids screen time. I keep a small chart by the television where we monitor our children’s screen time. I also use the same chart to add extra television time as a reward for good...

Behind the Scenes of Celebrity Family Feud

Posted by on Jun 21, 2015 in Entertainment, Featured, Television Shows | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of ABC When spending a couple of days in Los Angeles earlier this month, I was given a special surprise of visiting a taping of Celebrity Family Feud. The show was an all-time favorite of mine as a child, and I couldn’t wait to see what they did with the bring back of the classic family television series. As we took our seats in the audience, there was a host that got us up and out of our seats dancing along to the music. We were having the time of our life shaking, dancing and grooving along to fun hip music. Then it was time for the show to begin as two of my childhood celebrities brought their families out on the stage to play the game. The show was even better than it...

We attended as a guest of Disney My children have grown-up watching Phineas and Ferb. They were a part of their childhood. A part of who they are today. Tomorrow, we will go on our last adventure with Phineas, Ferb, Agent “P,” and Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Over the weekend, I had a special opportunity to preview the finale along with the Executive Producers of the show, Dan Povenmire, and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh. I couldn’t make it through the finale of the show that I have spent countless afternoons watching on the couch cuddling with my kids without tears rolling down my cheeks. The music, the story, and the ending was perfectly executed that children will not feel so much like its an ending but part of a journey. Once we were done previewing the finale, we sat down to talk...

Mako Mermaids Tween Review

Posted by on Feb 27, 2015 in Entertainment, Television Shows | 0 comments

We are a member of the Netflix Stream Team The Netflix original series is back and better than ever with new episodes of the Mako Mermaids season two! The Mako Mermaids has always been one of my favorite shows on Netflix. Mako Mermaids is fun for everyone! I watch Mako all the time with my brothers because there is not just mermaids, but there is also mermans, so they are interested in it too. Mako Mermaids is about three girls losing all of their mermaid friends (also know as their pod.) The reason they lost them is because they let a boy into the island hot tubs that keeps them in their mermaid forms. Within the episodes, the three girls are doing everything they can to turn him back to a regular human again. I recommend Mako Mermaids for...

Exclusive Interviews with the Cast of Baby Daddy

Posted by on Jan 13, 2015 in Entertainment, Television Shows | 0 comments

We attended the interviews as a guest of Disney After a long day, taking care of the kids, one of the things I enjoy is watching a hilarious comedy with my husband before going to bed. We are always looking for a new television series to watch together, and the series ‘Baby Daddy’ is one of our favorites. Recently, I went to Los Angeles to have a sneak peek of the winter premiere, visit the set and interview the cast of the show. The winter premiere is one of my favorite episodes partly because of a steamy shower scene (spoiler alert!). We started by talking to our favorite comedian on the show, the mom, Bonnie Wheeler, played by Melissa Peterman. Peterman was originally cast for a guest spot in the pilot, but they decided to add her on as...

The two have now grown-up, become parents, and are the masterminds behind the popular hit ABC Family television series “Melissa & Joey” that will premiere its 100th episode in March. While doing a set visit for the television show, both Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence took a break from filming to talk to us about parenting, life and their hit television series. When we first walked on the set, we took seats in the audience and watched them rehearse for the winter series premiere episode. Joey Lawrence was singing holiday songs in-between takes. When they were done with the rehearsal, Melissa Joan Hart went to get freshened up while...

We attended the set visit as a guest of ABC Family Have you seen “Baby Daddy” on ABC Family yet? Well, if you haven’t than you’ve been missing out like I had been. While I was in Los Angeles last month, I got a chance to see the winter season premiere of “Baby Daddy” along with getting a sneak peek behind the scenes of the hilarious hit television series. Normally, when jumping into a series without starting from the very first episode, I am often “lost.” I have never had the ability to start watching a series mid-story until watching “Baby Daddy.” The winter premiere had me bent over in my seat unable to contain the laughter, and I could not wait to return home from my trip to watch previous episodes. After watching the winter premiere we got...
