When can you Exercise After a Breast Surgery?

Posted by on Apr 24, 2017 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family | 1 comment

Sponsored When preparing for my breast lift surgery (mastopexy), I knew that I wanted to lose weight before the surgery. I worked with a nutritionist and exercised to help lose 20 of the 40 pounds that I have needed to lose. Since I had been working so hard to get fit, I was worried about how long it would be until I could resume exercising following my surgery. During my pre-op appointment with Dr. Niccole, he told me that it would be a couple of weeks after my surgery until I could start exercising again, and that we would discuss it in my post-op appointments. Every woman is different, and it really just depends on how fast I would heal. The one thing that he was very clear about is that in the beginning, I was to do nothing....

Should You Get Implants with Your Mastopexy?

Posted by on Apr 12, 2017 in Beauty, CosmetiCare | 0 comments

Sponsored To get implants or not? That was one thing that I had trouble with making a final decision before my breast surgery. I already had good sized breasts, and a lot of breast tissue, did I want to go bigger? One of the best things about having a mastopexy (breast lift) at CosmetiCare is that the doctors take their time to help their patients make the best decision for their body. During my virtual consultation with Dr. Niccole, he had recommended that I do the mastopexy and get a small implant put in. He agreed that I had good sized breasts, but when they would be lifted up after the procedure, that the implants would give them a more rounded and natural look. A couple of weeks before my surgery, I had an in-person consultation to go over...

Finding the Best Doctor for Your Breast Surgery

Posted by on Mar 17, 2017 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Hot Topics | 0 comments

Sponsored One of the best things about making the decision to have your breast surgery at CosmetiCare is that they have the best doctors in the industry. When it came to finding a doctor to have my breast surgery (mastopexy) I did a lot of doctor research. I knew that I wanted to have the best doctor in Orange County, which I quickly learned are all at CosmetiCare, but I also wanted to feel comfortable with the doctor I selected. I had my first consultation with a nurse at CosmetiCare who talked to me about what I wanted to have done, and we discussed the different options. She was very informative and talked to me about the different types of implants, whether I wanted to have implants or mastopexy, and she talked about the different doctors they have in...

Finally Feeling Confident in a Swimsuit

Posted by on Mar 10, 2017 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Hot Topics | 0 comments

Sponsored After having my last baby, I have never felt comfortable wearing a swimsuit in public. Every time that I would take my children to the pool or the beach; I would never take off my cover-up. Why? I never liked the way that my sagging breasts looked in swimwear. I had purchased many different swimwear styles. Had professional swimsuit fittings at expensive swimwear stores, and still never had the confidence I needed to feel good in my skin. Since I love spending almost every summer day with my children at the beach, I finally got tired of always sitting under an umbrella watching my children have all the fun just because I lacked self-confidence in wearing a swimsuit in public. At the end of last year, I made an appointment with Dr. Niccole at CosmetiCare to get a...

Erasing My Breast Surgery Scars

Posted by on Feb 21, 2017 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Hot Topics | 3 comments

Sponsored After having my mastopexy (breast lift), I have been diligently using different products to prevent scarring. Although I have been doing everything possible to erase my breast surgery scars, I wasn’t successful in having them disappear completely following my surgery with just creams/gels alone. During one of my follow-up consultations with Dr. Niccole, he recommended that I have a V-Beam laser treatment done to fully erase the surgical lines from my breasts. Almost everyone who makes the investment of having their breasts done, uses the V-Beam laser to have their surgical lines erased. Once you’ve spent a couple of thousand dollars to get beautiful breasts, why not spend a couple of hundred dollars more, to erase the signs that you had any surgery? The V-Beam laser is a 3-part process. You’ll have it done once a month for...

Tips for Finding the Perfect Bra after a Breast Lift

Posted by on Jan 18, 2017 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Hot Topics, Shopping | 0 comments

Sponsored Before having my mastopexy (breast lift) everyone told me that the hardest part following the surgery was going to be finding the perfect bra, and they were right. These are some tips from my experience to help you with finding the perfect bra after your breast lift. When you come home from your surgery, you’ll be wearing a surgical bra. You’ll want to wear this for about the first week following your surgery. Once your doctor advises that it is alright to wear your own bra, you can start bra shopping. I recommend getting a bra that has a full front zip for the second to the third week following your surgery. My doctor advised me that I could wear any bra just as long as it did not have an underwire, and the front zip bra made...

Jumpstart Your Health in the New Year

Posted by on Jan 4, 2017 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Health | 0 comments

We have partnered with NB Cleanse Many people share the same New Year’s Resolution of wanting to lose weight. In 2016, I was able to lose 30 pounds, and I have a goal of losing my remaining 20 pounds in 2017. Since I have lost the weight, I have more energy and a better outlook on life. How did I do it? I wasn’t alone. At the beginning of the year, I cut out a lot of sugars and limited my dairy. I was eating small meals throughout the day, and wouldn’t eat past 6 pm. Plus, I drank a ton of water. It was going great until I plateaued at 20 pounds and stopped losing weight. I knew that I needed to do something else, and I wanted to lose the remaining 10 pounds before having my breast...

Preventing Scarring After a Breast Surgery

Posted by on Jan 1, 2017 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family, Health | 0 comments

I am a CosmetiCare Ambassador One of the biggest concerns that I had following my mastopexy (breast lift) with Doctor Niccole at CosmetiCare was the scarring. A mastopexy is a lot more invasive than a breast augmentation, but both surgeries have incisions that need to be treated to preventing scarring following the surgery. The day that I got my Steri-Strips off my incisions, the nurse talked to me about the different options that I had to prevent scarring. The first thing that she recommended was that I use Silagen gel twice a day on my incisions. She told me that it is important to use a product that is made with 100% pure silicone gel to help prevent the scarring. Along with using the Silagen twice a day, she recommended that I apply Silagen self-adhesive silicone gel sheeting every...

Try on a Breast Lift Before You Get it

Posted by on Dec 8, 2016 in Beauty, CosmetiCare | 0 comments

Sponsored You are going to take a nude picture of me and upload it to the internet? The minute that I heard the nurse at CosmetiCare ask to take a picture of my nude breasts to get a before/after simulation of the breast lift and augmentation I was wanting to have done, I was slightly terrified. I have watched films like “Sex Tape” and others where videos or photos have ended up in the wrong hands, and I was worried at first. The staff at CosmetiCare put all my fears to rest and assured me that all photos that are uploaded to New Look Now online software is completely HIPAA compliant – meaning that it won’t go further than you and the doctor. So, I stepped outside of my comfort zone and let them take a picture of my...

Posted by on Nov 28, 2016 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family, Health | 0 comments

Sponsored It has been three weeks since I had my mastopexy (breast lift) with Dr. Niccole at CosmetiCare, and I’m finally starting to feel like myself again. At first, I was nervous about publicly talking about my procedure, because it is something that nobody seems to talk a lot about having done. After going public with news of my breast surgery, I was overwhelmed with how many women have had it done or are wanting to have it done. The one thing that I wish that I had was advice from a friend who had gone through the same surgery as mine, so I wrote this guide to all of you who are thinking about having a breast lift. This is what you need to know: A mastopexy is much different than an augmentation. All of my friends who...

72 Hours After a Mastopexy

Posted by on Nov 5, 2016 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family | 1 comment

Sponsored (excuse any typos..I’m still not 100% myself) I was initially going to write this 24 hours following my mastopexy (breast lift), but I was still coming down from anesthesia, hyped up on Norco, and my words just didn’t seem to make much sense. So, here I am sharing about what the past 72 hours have been like following my procedure at CosmetiCare. Over the past 72 hours, I have felt a whirlwind of emotions. I always have trouble with anesthesia and was grateful to only have a couple of cases of vomiting before leaving the surgery center following my procedure. In my pre-op appointment, the nurse had advised me that I might have drains following the surgery, and I was super upset when I first saw the bloody tubes coming out of my breasts. The first night, my...

Breast Augmentation Virtual Consultation

Posted by on Aug 25, 2016 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family, Health | 0 comments

Sponsored Last week, I shared with all of you about how I want to have my breast fixed. I have been a mix of emotions since finally making the decision to have it done and made the choice to have a virtual consultation for my breast augmentation vs. coming into the CosmetiCare office. I thought I might feel more comfortable taking my top off to be looked at in the comfort of my home, and I loved that they had the option of a virtual consultation. I called CosmetiCare and made an appointment to have the consultation with Dr. Niccole who is well-known for being the best plastic surgeon in Orange County. Since I have already had multiple procedures done in the CosmetiCare med spa, I felt comfortable with my decision to have the work done with Dr. Niccole....

I Loved Nursing But it Destroyed My Breasts

Posted by on Aug 16, 2016 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family, Health, Hot Topics | 0 comments

Sponsored Having children takes its toll on a mother’s body. When my oldest son was adopted, I wanted the best for him. I wanted him to have the best nutrition possible, so I met with a lactation consultant who assisted me with bringing in a milk supply to try and breastfeed him. I took special supplements and pumped, and pumped, and pumped the life out of my breasts attempting to produce milk, and was unsuccessful. Then when my youngest child was born biologically, I again tried to breastfeed and was successful. I was so successful with nursing that I nursed my youngest son for almost three years. Once I was finished breastfeeding him, my breasts were lifeless, droopy, and rested on my stomach without support. I have never felt the same about my body since nursing. I feel less...

Five Reasons to Try Botox

Posted by on Jul 11, 2016 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family, Health, Hot Topics | 0 comments

I am a CosmetiCare Ambassador It has been almost a year since first trying Botox. Over the past year, I have found that I have only needed to “refresh” my skin twice with more units, and have noticed a huge difference the overall look and feel of my skin. Love the way you look The main reason why I began using Botox was that I wanted to love the way I once looked in the mirror. Since I have blue eyes and fair skin, I have seen such a significant amount of premature aging around my eyes, and since starting Botox a year ago, I saw those fine lines begin to diminish. Instead of avoiding looking at myself in the mirror, I’ve found myself looking in the mirror like I did when I was in my 20’s. Reverse the...

Mother Daughter Facials at CosmetiCare

Posted by on May 12, 2016 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family | 0 comments

We are a CosmetiCare Ambassador As my daughter has started to become a teenager, it has become necessary for me to teach her how to care for her skin. Not only do I want her to care for her skin, but I also want be a good example by having healthy skincare habits and getting facials on a regular basis. Ever since I have begun having skincare treatments at CosmetiCare, I have noticed an increase in my self-confidence, and my skin is always glowing. While getting a facial during the holidays, I talked with the esthetician about the break-outs that my daughter was experiencing. She offered to use some high-frequency ultrasonic waves on her forehead to help battle the break-out. Within hours, my daughter noticed that the blemishes began to disappear, and she immediately realized why it is important...

CosmetiCare HydraFacial Helps Teens Battle Breakouts

Posted by on Dec 28, 2015 in Beauty, CosmetiCare | 0 comments

As I have been entering the tween/teen years I have noticed my face starting to get acne. I was doing everything I could to try and make it go away, from washing my face twice a day to putting on face masks, but it wouldn’t go away. It is my forehead that was getting the most acne, and it was starting to bother me more and more. During our holiday break from school, I went with my mom to her CosmetiCare appointment. My brother and I were waiting patiently in the waiting room for my mom to finish her HydraFacial. While she was getting her facial, she told them about my concern over the acne I was developing. Once my mom had finished her facial, she brought me back so that they could look at my facial acne....

Does an IPL Really Work?

Posted by on Dec 23, 2015 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family | 0 comments

We are a CosmetiCare Mom Ambassador It wasn’t just stretch marks that I was left behind with after the birth of my child, but also *ugly* pigmentation on my face. While I thought that the dark brown spots on my face would fade over time, it has been a little over eight years, and I still have the spots that I developed during pregnancy. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on various skincare products that have made claims of fading dark spots, and I was just about to give up on the idea that I would be able to leave the house without a layer of foundation until coming to CosmetiCare in Newport Beach. During my initial consultation at CosmetiCare, they advised me that I can reduce the pigmentation on my face with the use of an Intense Pulsed Light...

A Beautiful Smile with Juvederm

Posted by on Dec 1, 2015 in Beauty, CosmetiCare, Family | 0 comments

Sponsored After making having my consultation at CosemtiCare in Newport Beach, the one treatment that I never expected to myself to do is a lip enhancement. When I was talking with the consultant who helped to set-up my mommy makeover beauty plan, she asked me what were some of my facial features that were bothering me. She made me stop and think. The first thing that came to mind was how my upper lip would always disappear when I smiled. I’ll admit that I was nervous about just the thought of having a lip enhancement done. I have read many horror stories online, and I didn’t want to have big puffy swollen looking lips. The entire staff at CosmetiCare made me feel comfortable and relaxed about the process and fully educated me on what to expect when getting a...

Natural Looking Face Lift with Voluma

Sponsored There are many days that I find myself looking into the bathroom mirror and wonder where the youthful face that I once had has gone. The stresses of daily life and parenting have put its toll on my youthfulness, and as I get closer and closer every year to my 40th Birthday, I crave that look that I once had. I remember that when I looked younger, I felt younger. I see my face changing day by day to look a lot like my Grandmother, who had heavy wrinkles and sunken cheeks, but what I have recently learned is that I don’t have to grow old with the signs of aging that she once had too. After beginning treatment at CosmetiCare in Newport Beach, I have found that spunk in my life that I had lost. I began...
