Posted by on Feb 21, 2017 in Dining | 0 comments

We dined as a guest of the venue If you’ve been following us on social media, then you are aware of how we’ve become very fond of the new menu items at Las Brisas. While staying loyal to favorite traditional dishes here, we love to explore the new entrées that are being introduced to complement their menu. One recent morning we were invited to dine and enjoy a fantastic breakfast at Las Brisas. What’s better than Las Brisas on a beautiful, bright, crisp morning after a fresh rain the night before? Seated inside with a gorgeous view of the ocean, we were grateful for the opportunity to slow down for a bit during the holidays to share time and an excellent meal together. If you’ve been to Las Brisas, you know the views are stunning! Chef Johannes continues to...

The minute that I heard they were opening a new location in Rancho Santa Margarita; I couldn’t wait to sink my taste buds into some of their freshly made pizza. When my daughter had a day off school last week, I brought her to the new location for lunch. The minute that we walked into the restaurant, we loved the vibe. The restaurant is decorated with black and white colors with rich mahogany woods. We were greeted by a staff member at the door who was ready to help us with taking our order. There were so many delicious options on the...

Posted by on Feb 8, 2017 in Best of OC, Dining, Valentine's Day | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue The best gift that parents can give their children is the gift of having parents with a healthy marriage. The one thing that I have found to be key in keeping the spark alive in my marriage of almost 20 years is to spend as much time together alone as possible. We go on date nights at least a couple of times a month and try our best to have romantic getaways whenever we can. With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, our children’s busy schedule has us booked driving them around town on Valentine’s Day, so we celebrated earlier this year by having a romantic morning enjoying brunch on the water while on a Hornblower Cruise. We had always wanted to do a dinner or brunch Hornblower Cruise, and this year seemed...

Unforgettable Italian Food at North Italia in Irvine

Posted by on Feb 1, 2017 in Dining | 0 comments

We dined as a guest of the venue After marrying into an Italian family, I feel like I never get to eat at Italian restaurants. My husband is always so critical of most Italian restaurants where we got out to eat and is always comparing the food to his Grandmother’s authentic Italian cuisine. When we can’t go to his parent’s house and craving Italian food, I am always trying new places in hopes that I will find one that my husband likes. Before going to Mammoth for a weekend, I planned a date night at the new hot spot, North Italia. I have heard so many of my friends raving about it and was finally able to get a reservation to have dinner with my husband. The minute that we walked into the restaurant, it was buzzing. The restaurant...

We dined as a guest of the venue Ever since I heard about the opening of Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens, I couldn’t wait to try their culinary creations. Over the past couple of weeks, it felt like everyone I knew was dining at Farmhouse, making me eager to give it a try. When Newport Beach Restaurant Week started, I finally made plans to dine at Farmhouse with a friend. When we arrived at the restaurant, I was immediately in love with the decor. The restaurant has open air seating with an ambiance that made me feel like we were dining in an ultra chic barn with pastel colors and distressed wood accents. We took a seat at one of the tables and began our epicurean adventure. We sipped on our glasses of ice tea while looking over the menu....

While I was staying in Mayakoba, we made plans to have dinner at Saffron, Banyan Tree Resorts signature restaurant. Lunching at Corner Bakery Cafe

Posted by on Jan 11, 2017 in Dining, Giveaways | 14 comments

We dined as a guest of the venue One of my kid’s favorite places to go out for lunch is Corner Bakery Cafe. There is always something for everyone; the dishes are filling and delicious. Since the portion sizes are large enough for two of my kids to share, they are always taking turns ordering their favorite dish to share with one another. When I told them that Corner Bakery Cafe recently introduced a choose any two menu offering, they were thrilled to know that they can still share a dish, and each gets what they want. The best part is that the meals are priced under $9!! When we went to Corner Bakery Cafe last week, we tried their choose any two menu offerings and got a Chicken pomodori half panini and caesar salad. The chicken pomodori sandwich...

When making reservations for our tour of Yosemite National Park with Discover Yosemite, we were able to include lunch at the Majestic. When we arrived at the Majestic Yosemite Hotel for lunch, there was a red carpet waiting for us. We walked the red carpet and into the dining room. The dining room was truly “majestic, ” and it felt like we were dining in a castle. We had pre-ordered our lunch when booking our tour, so everything was taken care of when we arrived. My daughter and I sipped on an ice tea and talked about...

We dined as a guest of the venue The Lime Truck was one of my favorite food trucks that cruised around Orange County and now that they have a store location just a short drive away from my house, I can’t help but enjoy dining at TLT Food on a regular basis. TLT Food is growing with the newest addition being their Little Limer’s kids menu featuring a wide variety of tasty dishes for kids to enjoy. During the holiday break, I surprised my kids with lunch at TLT Food to try their new Little Limer’s kids menu items. Our children had the choice of ordering a Classic Cheese Quesadilla, PB&J Sliders or Shorty Sliders with Braised Beef Short Rib and Cheese. They couldn’t decide, so we ended up ordering one of each. The shorty sliders with braised beef...

The restaurant has a wide variety of dining options and has a family-friendly ambiance. On one of the days when I was staying at Tenaya Lodge, my daughter and I went on an adventurous snowshoe hike. We got to look at trees and make snow angels while embracing the beauty that surrounds Yosemite National Park. After our hike, we had worked up quite a big appetite, so we went for an early lunch at Jackalope’s Bar & Grill. They had a lot of healthy dining suggestions on their menu, and our server recommended that I try the taco...

The restaurant felt so inviting, but because of the taps of rain coming...
