Compass Bible Church 2014 Eggstravaganza
Here in Orange County, we are truly blessed to have many family events that are free of charge! Hosted by Compass Bible Church of Aliso Viejo, their Eggstravaganza event was held on 4/18 (Friday) from 9:30am-11:30am, at the Laguna Hills Community Center.
My kids and I had attended this event several years ago, so this year was our 2nd time at this fun Easter event. As in the past, in addition to the Community Center parking lot, the Laguna Hills High School parking lot was available so there was plenty of free parking.
The event included several bounce houses, craft tables, face painting, balloon artists, raffles, donuts, fruits, popcorn, churros, cotton candy, coffee, water bottles, juice packs, and of course Egg Hunt! All free of charge ☺
The great thing about this year’s egg hunt was that it was divided into 2 separate sections. One was for the 0-3yos (with parents) and the other was for the 4-10yos. The bigger kids were further divided into several 15min time slots. Everyone was able to get ample eggs and I didn’t see any crying faces (like we sometimes see at the other “free” egg hunts).
The lines for other attractions were all manageable as well, all with friendly volunteers. Because of the huge outdoor space, even with a big crowd, it didn’t feel packed at all. The amount of things to do was just perfect for the 2 hours we were there. And with the beautiful weather, it was a wonderful spring outing for us!
