Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey
One of the highlights of our summer trip to Monterey wasn’t a tour or a place that cost our family any money but was the afternoon spent at the Dennis the Menace Park. Growing up as a child, I loved watching Dennis the Menace and have enjoyed sharing the television series with my children. With us all being fans of the classic show, we couldn’t wait to spend the day playing in this fun and interactive park.
When we arrived at the park, parking was a challenge. It took our family about 15-20 minutes to find a parking spot, and once we did, the kids took off to play. At the opening of the park was a giant train and statue of Dennis the Menace himself.
The park is one of the best parks that my children have ever played at before. There was a large suspension bridge, multiple play structures, rock wall, and even an interactive maze. The park is massive, and no matter how many kids are playing your kids won’t feel too overcrowded.
Once your kids are done playing at the park, take a walk over to the neighboring lake where you can ride in swan-shaped paddle boats or go out for an ice cream cone together. The Dennis the Menace Park, is one that your family should not miss visiting while in Monterey.
The park is located at 777 Pearl St, Monterey, CA 93940.
