Entice Rudolph with Reindeer Chow

One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to watch the classic version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” with my children. The timeless story brings out the spirit of the season in a way that is indescribable, and watching a classic holiday movie is one of the best ways to get your family into the holiday spirit.

Along with “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” we also enjoy watching “Frosty the Snowman,” and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” during the holiday season. The one thing that has been challenging for me in the past was finding the movies to download and watch with our children every year. When I learned that an Anniversary Collection of the three timeless films was being released this year, I jumped at the opportunity to add it to our home video collection.

When the DVD collection arrived at our house this week, I was surprised to learn that is also included “The Little Drummer Boy,” “Cricket on the Hearth,” “Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol,” and “Frosty Returns.” These are films that I haven’t seen since I was a child, and I can’t wait to share them with my children this holiday season.

In anticipation of our upcoming screening of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” I prepared a fun snack for the kids that will entice Rudolph to bring extra magic to our home on Christmas Eve – Reindeer Chow.

Making the fun themed snack is super easy, and your kids are guaranteed to love watching the movie while munching on the themed snack – plus, it is a great snack to leave out with your cookies and milk on Christmas Eve.
