Family Guide to the Beach Park in Laguna Beach
Park before renovation
There are a couple of beach parks located in Orange County, but this park has always been my favorite. The beach park in Laguna Beach has just undergone a full renovation with more fun for your children to enjoy. I have been bringing my kids to this park since they were just babies, and we have created many memorable memories on this playground. Nestled right in downtown Laguna Beach on Main Beach is this playground where children can play right along side the beautiful crashing ocean waves. I often find myself mesmerized by the beauty while watching my children play at this beach park. I have found that this park is truly calming for my children and myself.

Tips for visiting this beach:
Do not bring along your purse. There are often homeless people walking around this part of Laguna Beach. Most of the homeless people living on the beach are harmless, but be cautious by leaving your valuables at home.
This is not a “sit on the side of the sandbox” type of park. Every single time I visit this part a parent loses their child on the beach. I highly recommend “staying on your toes” and keeping a close eye on your children while at the park. It is most parents fear of a having a wandering child on the beach.
Have your children go to the restroom before coming to this park. Like I said, there is a lot of homeless living here, and the bathrooms at this park also serves as shelter for some. There is a charming pizza place on the corner of Laguna Avenue where your children can use the bathroom with the purchase of a slice of pizza.
Bring a towel, swimsuit and change of clothes. More than likely your children will want to cool off in the ocean after playing – even if it is the dead of Winter.
Parking is never easy in Laguna, especially on a warm summer day. On the corner, of Pacific Coast Highway and Laguna Avenue turn (R) on Laguna Avenue when going Northbound, or (L) going Southbound on PCH. Turn (R) on Glenneyre Street and the parking structure entrance is on your right. There is normally ample parking in this structure, and they accept debit cards for parking fees.
There are ample amounts of restaurants within walking distance of the park. There is a Johnny Rockets, Starbucks and our favorite ice cream shop right on the corner of PCH and Park Avenue.
The park is located right on Main Beach in Laguna Beach. The cross streets are Pacific Coast Highway and Laguna Avenue (tucked adjacently behind Hotel Laguna).
