Growing up Celebrating Easter at Irvine Park
We visited as a guest of the venue
Spring is my favorite time of the year. I love the beautiful wildflowers along the side of the road, the time we get to spend with family, and the religious meaning of the Easter holiday. One of the best parts of springtime is getting to create memories that will last a lifetime with my children at the Irvine Park Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza. No matter how old my children get, they still love coming to the park, riding the train, playing the games, and getting into the Easter spirit.
The event at Irvine Park Railroad keeps getting bigger and better every year. This year, we enjoyed it so much that we returned for the second day of springtime fun. When you first arrive at Irvine Park Railroad, you’ll want to register for an egg hunt. Since the egg hunts do sell-out fast, you’ll want to come early if anyone visits you on the weekend. They like to keep the egg hunts limited to a specific number of children so that children will have a positive egg hunt experience. The best part is that they break it down into age groups so that a toddler won’t have to compete with an older child to get their eggs.
Once you’ve gotten the perfect time for your egg hunt, it’s time for some Easter fun. There’s face painting, balloon makers, carnival games, cookie decorating, train rides, and an opportunity to capture a photo with the Easter Bunny. I recommend bringing your camera to capture photos of your time spent at the Easter Eggstravaganza for you to cherish for years to come.
You’ll want to spend the entire day at Irvine Park Railroad so pack a picnic lunch. If you forget to pack a lunch, there is food available at the concession stand. There is also a small snack shack in the center of the springtime fun.
Take a short walk around the park where there are bike rentals, paddleboat rentals, and the OC Zoo, once you’re done enjoying all the Easter fun, of course. If you want to keep it simple, there are multiple playgrounds throughout the park for your children to have some good old fun.
Whether you have a toddler or a teenager, children of all ages will enjoy the Easter fun this year at the Irvine Park Railroad. Parking is $5 on weekends and $3 on weekdays. The activities have different fees, and the pricing is available at the ticket booth. Hurry, Easter is just days away, and there are only a few days left to create memories that will last a lifetime at the Irvine Park Railroad. The Irvine Park Railroad is located at 1 Irvine Park Rd, Orange, CA 92869. More information is available online at irvineparkrailroad.com.
