Guide to The Laguna Beach Dog Park

LagunaBeachDogPark1

We officially have more animals than humans that live in our home. We are all animal lovers, and our children are the biggest animal lovers of all of us. We have the sweetest dog named Daisy “dog” who is a golden retriever..yes we did get her because the kids loved the Disney “buddies” movie series so much. So what does a young OC family with an oversized dog do on Saturday morning? We visit the Laguna Beach Dog Park – of course!

Our dog requires so much exercise that the dog park is the best way for her to not only socialize with other dogs, but get all her energy out for the weekend. We learned shortly after getting Daisy that the dog park would not only tire out our energetic puppy – but also our energetic young kiddos – a win-win for mom and dad!

Why the Laguna Beach Dog Park?
Well it is not only close to our home, but also the cleanest dog park in Orange County. We have been to almost every dog park in Orange County, and this dog park is always clean enough for our kids to run around with having to worry about them stepping in some *Do-Do*.

The dog park is also very organized with one side of the park for younger dogs, and the other side of the park for older dogs. There is a drinking fountain for puppies & for kiddies located right inside of the park.

Insider tips..
Bring your dog on a leash. Clean-up after your puppy or be prepared to be told too by another pet owner. Bring quarters for the meters, parking is only available along Laguna Canyon Road. Be careful when getting your kids and dogs out of the car – Laguna Canyon Road is a very busy road. I recommend getting the dog out first, and then getting your kids out before entering the dog park.
