Hilarious Holiday Fun at Elf the Musical
We visited as a guest of the venue
If you are looking for something fun to do with your children this holiday season, Elf the Musical at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts is the place to bring them. Elf is my youngest son’s favorite holiday movie, and the minute that I saw Elf the Musical was coming to Orange County, I knew that I had to get tickets to bring him to see the show.
With my two older children off for holiday break and my youngest still in school, I couldn’t wait to lift his spirits by surprising him with a night out at the Segerstrom Center. The minute that he heard me say, “Elf the Musical,” he screamed with excitement.
Since it’s just a couple of days before Christmas, we left early to beat the traffic surrounding the Segerstrom Center. Even though I left early to see the show, there was much more traffic than I expected, so I recommend leaving extra early if you plan to bring your children to see the show.
When we arrived at the Segerstrom Center, there was holiday buzz in the air. Families arrived at the Segerstrom in their best holiday outfits with excitement over seeing Elf the Musical. As we entered the theatre, it was a full house. I didn’t see one empty seat anywhere in the theatre.
Then it was time for the show to begin. As the curtain rose, Santa began to tell the story of Buddy the Elf. My son was mesmerized as the story came to life right before his eyes. It was even funnier than the movie, and we couldn’t stop laughing throughout the entire performance.
After the show, my son asked if we could come back to see it again. He said it was the best show that he has ever seen at the Segerstrom Center. He recited all of his favorite lines from the movie all the way home and shared his excitement over seeing the show with his brother and sister at home.
I recommend every family brings their family to see Elf the Musical at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Elf the Musical will be in Orange County until January 1st. Tickets start at $29 and are available online at SCFTA.org, by calling (714) 556-2787 and at the Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa.
