The holidays are a time for giving back to others in our community, and many local businesses are helping families to give back to local organizations by hosting holiday toy drives. Pick-up some extra clothing or toys during your next shopping trip, and donate them at one of these holiday toy drives happening in Orange County.

CHOC Hospital

CHOC Children’s is hosting a holiday toy drive on Saturday, December 19, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the hospital employee parking lot located at 557 S. Main Street, in Orange. Community members who would like to remember CHOC patients and families this holiday season are encouraged to participate in the toy drive. They are unable to accept donations in the main hospital lobby, as has been the practice in previous years. They ask that ALL holiday donations be delivered to the toy drive as we will have the appropriate resources to intake donations. They ask that donations be sorted and boxed before delivery.

Holiday Treats in the Lobby & Toys for Tots Drop-off
Month of December, Thursday through Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.
Families will enjoy warm apple cider and a variety of special holiday treats in the hotel lobby during December. Better yet, visitors can enjoy the art of giving back to the community when they drop-off unwrapped toys to support the Toys for Tots annual holiday campaign.

Fairmont Newport Beach will also be hosting a toy drive benefiting South County Outreach. The toys will be distributed to families in need. Contributions of new, unwrapped toys can be made at Fairmont’s Tree of Hope located in the lobby of Fairmont Newport Beach November 19th, 2015 through December 17th, 2015.

RighTime Home Services of Orange County will be holding a holiday toy drive to benefit the Illumination Foundation, local non-profit working to break the cycle of homelessness in Orange County.

RighTime is asking the community to help donate toys for the Illumination Foundation’s upcoming Holiday Carnival, between November 2 and December 4. All toy donators will also receive 20% off any service at RighTime.

WHAT: $1,500 toy shopping spree to purchase 200+ toys for the “Spark of Love” Toy Drive. Breakfast Club is a networking group comprised of partners of Visit Anaheim that include local hotels, event venues, restaurants and several hospitality and tourism related businesses. The Visit Anaheim Breakfast Club incorporates significant fundraising elements to provide ongoing donations to local charities and organizations throughout Anaheim and Orange County. In 2014, a total of $35,000 was raised and donated to a growing group of charity recipients.

Toys for Tots
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is proud to work with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to bring Toys for Tots to the Reagan Library. Beginning on November 14 and running through December 21, 2015, the Reagan Library will be collecting new, unwrapped toys which the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will be distributing to needy children in our community.
