House of Blues Opening Night Delivered
We visited as a guest of the venue
It’s so good to have you back House of Blues. You sure were missed! We were lucky enough to see the venue a few months back while it was still under construction; making it even cooler after seeing the vision of what was to come. The space in all its grandeur on opening night was even more than what we expected; absolutely stunning!
House of Blues in Anaheim at the Garden Walk opened its doors on February 28th, and we were there to take it all in. It has stayed true its classic House of Blues feel yet with a modern twist; high ceilings with an industrial vibe, full of color and cool spaces. Walking in it was as though we were home and ready to immerse ourselves in good food, good music surrounded by good people.
While enjoying the nice spicy flavor from our Jambalaya and chatting; in strolls Dan Aykroyd and Jim Belushi to help launch the celebration. In true “Blues Brothers” attire they mingled among the guests, posing for photos and sharing their enthusiasm of the House of Blues at Anaheim debut. What a surprise! What a treat!
We found ourselves exploring and spending time in different spaces of House of Blues at Anaheim. We love that four stages are allowing for a variety of music to happen at once. It is truly a space that has something for everyone and all under one roof.
Being huge fans of live music and so excited to see one of our favorite local bands, Social Distortion took the stage as the first live music act. We were like kids in a candy store with anticipation, appreciation and ready to dance, sing and feel the music in our souls.
While we stood on the upper level; we had a great view of the stage. Social Distortion played all the familiar tunes like, “Ball and Chain,” “Story of My Life,” and “Ring of Fire” plus new ones they have released. We so loved feeling the energy of the crowd; again, pinch us because we were all here for the same moment; never to happen again. Social Distortion delivered as promised, and so did the House of Blues of Anaheim!
We feel the timing and location couldn’t be better for the area; we were missing a large venue for all of us music lovers. We couldn’t be more thrilled; we’re pretty sure you will be too! Take a look at the venue on-line, peek at the upcoming concerts or maybe you want to drop in for some good ol’ southern cooking. Whatever you choose, you’ll be surrounded by a good vibe of music and southern hospitality!
