Journey School’s 10th Annual Harvest Faire

Journey School Harvest Faire

Archery, jousting and fable figure making are just a few of the activities offered at Journey School’s 10th annual Harvest Faire on November 5th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Children can make their own fairy wands, walking sticks and jump ropes. “It’s an old-fashioned harvest faire,” says Nicola Wellner, chairperson of the event. “And the materials are as natural as possible.”

Admission is free and tickets may be purchased for activities and food. The Fairy Café offers traditional, vegan and gluten-free baked goods along with coffee and tea. An international selection of food, including curry sausage, falafels, and tacos will be available at three food trucks.

Guests can purchase jewelry, fair trade baskets, organic skin care products and many more items at artisan booths throughout the fair. Also, everyone is welcome to shop at the Journey School store for Waldorf-inspired toys, books and craft materials.

For those who want to sit and relax, musical entertainment will be provided by students, alumnae, and acoustical guitarist Mark Romero.

There’s something for all ages at this nostalgic celebration of summer’s bounty.
