Keeping Toddlers Active at The Little Gym Tustin
We attended as a guest of Little Gym
Does your little one need to get their wiggles out? Are you tired of frequenting local parks, have you been wanting to try out a gym with your kids, but a big gym seems overwhelming or are you just in the mood for a little more one on one interaction with your kids? If you have answered yes to any of these questions like I have, then The Little Gym in Tustin would be a great place to visit.
If you have a child 4 months old up to 12 years old, The Little Gym Tustin has classes to fit your needs. The best thing about this is they offer a free introductory class to try it out, so you are able to participate and decide if it will fit your families needs before you have to sign up.
On our first visit we tried out the Beasts/Super Beasts class. Before the class started Steele played in the waiting area with a few other kids waiting for their class to start. The class consisted of around 6 kids ranging in ages from 20 months-3 years. Steele was on the younger end at 22 months and being his first time he did quite well. Miss Camille was very patient with us (when Steele was skittish or wanted to run off) she knew how to get the little ones engaged in the activities. They have it down to the level of the child and they seem to know just how long little ones attention spans are, so they move the class in another direction pretty frequent.
While in class we did a circle time name introduction with instruments, bubbles, ball play, free gym, bouncing on a giant blow up mat and played with foam sticks. The kids all had a blast in class. I know my husband and I had fun too. It is a joy to watch kids so happy while they are learning and getting exercise. Steele’s favorite part was swinging on the bars and playing ball in class.
As a slight germ-a-phobe mom, I was happy to see they were clean and had hand sanitizer and sinks to wash hands and feet of our kids before and after class. To some this may not be important, but for me it is. I am normally the mom scrubbing my kids hands and feet with wipes after playing at places, so the sink made it easier and it also did not make me stand out because all parents were lead to that area to clean off after class.
The Little Gym also hosts birthday parties, so if you are looking for a fun place to hold your child’s next party this might be a great place to look into. For more information on any of the classes you can go to thelittlegym.com and look up the Tustin location or you can call them direct at (714)505-5855.
We had a wonderful time and hope to go back soon.
