Knott’s Boysenberry Meatball Recipe

While at the Knott’s Berry Farm Boysenberry Festival this weekend, the boysenberry meatballs were one of my favorite dishes that I sampled. The meat was juicy, tender, and tantalized my taste buds. But, it was the sauce that made them some of the best meatballs that I have ever had before. Our friends at Knott’s Berry Farm were so generous to share their secret meatball recipe with us so that families can enjoy them at home for years to come. Every time that you serve the Knott’s boysenberry meatballs with your children, all the wonderful memories of your visit will come back.
2 lbs. Ground beef
1 cup Bread crumbs
1 ½tbs. Granulated garlic
1 tbs. Italian herbs
½ cup Milk (to soak bread crumbs)
½ tsp. Salt and pepper
1 jar Berry Market Boysenberry BBQ Sauce
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, garlic, Italian herbs, salt and pepper until well incorporated.
Add soaked bread crumbs to the ground beef and mix.
Line 13×9-inch pan with foil; spray with cooking spray.
Shape mixture into golf ball size meatballs, place 1inch apart in pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, or until the center is no longer pink.
Heat the Berry Market Boysenberry BBQ Sauce on the stove or microwave for 2-3 mins.
Once the sauce is warmed,top the freshly made meatballs with the BBQ sauce.
