Lunar New Year at the Disneyland Resort
We visited as a guest of Disney
The Happiest Place on Earth is the perfect place to celebrate the Lunar New Year with your family this year. The Celebration is happening at Disney California Adventure Park until February 5th, offering families fabulous entertainment, delicious food, and magical memories.
One of the highlights of the celebration is the special World of Color pre-show called “Hurry Home.” The award-winning composer, Tan Dun who is well-known for his work “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” created the music, and all the animation was made specifically for this performance. The story will take your family on an adventure with Little Lantern and his journey to return home. Your children will be touched by the heart-warming story and will love seeing an appearance by Mulan and Mushu.
During the celebration, your family will go on an epicurean adventure experiencing the different Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese foods. There are three different food marketplaces along with offerings available at Paradise Garden Grill. Some of the dishes featured during the celebration are Pork Soup Dumplings, Kalbi Beef, Beef Pho Noodle Soup, and more.
Entertainment is the highlight of the Lunar New Year celebration at Disney California Adventure Park. Your family will get to see live performances from authentic performers, witness the Acrobats of China perform, and dance to the music during “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession.”
You’ll not want to miss hanging your wish on the Lucky Wishing Wall, decorate a lantern, and capture a keepsake photo with your favorite Disney character. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip ‘n Dale, Mulan, and Mushu will be available throughout the day for photo opportunities while dressed in their favorite Lunar New Year attire.
Don’t miss creating memories that will last a lifetime with your children at Disney California Adventure Park during the Lunar New Year Celebration happening now until February 5th. Learn more about Disneyland online or at the Disney Parks Blog.
