OC Rescue Mission Seeks School Supply Donations
Imagine not having fresh new school supplies to start the school year? The OC Rescue Mission is gearing up for another school year and is seeking help from the local community to gather school supplies for the children living at the Village of Hope, the Rescue Mission’s transitional living facility in Orange County.
These children attend various schools within the Tustin Unified School District, and it is because of the community’s incredible generosity that we are able to equip these children with the basic necessities to begin the new school year. Currently there are 79 children living at the Village of Hope, and approximately 42 of those children are school-age.
The Orange County Rescue Mission is asking the local community to donate items that will provide children with basic “back-to-school” essentials, including:
College ruled paper
Wide ruled paper
Writing tablets for Kindergarteners
Boxed markers (both wide and slim tips)
Colored pencils (both wide and slim tips)
Highlighters (yellow preferred)
Black and Red permanent markers
Pocket packs of Kleenex
Sturdy pencil boxes
2” 3-ring binders
Those wishing to donate can drop off these donations at the Orange County Rescue Mission’s Village of Hope located at 1 Hope Drive in the city of Tustin, California. The donation warehouse is open between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
