The Pizza Press Opens in Rancho Santa Margarita
We dined as a guest of the venue
I had heard so much buzz about the pizza being served at The Pizza Press but was never able to make it to North Orange County to try it. The minute that I heard they were opening a new location in Rancho Santa Margarita; I couldn’t wait to sink my taste buds into some of their freshly made pizza.
When my daughter had a day off school last week, I brought her to the new location for lunch. The minute that we walked into the restaurant, we loved the vibe. The restaurant is decorated with black and white colors with rich mahogany woods.
We were greeted by a staff member at the door who was ready to help us with taking our order. There were so many delicious options on the menu including build-your-own that it was hard to only pick one. My daughter and I finally settled on getting “The Herald” and “The Tribune” which are two of their most popular menu items.
After taking our order, we were able to watch them create our pizzas right in front of us. There was a large selection of freshly made toppings that we were invited to add anything extra to our pizzas while they were making them.
Once our pizzas were done being made, they went into the oven, and we walked over to the cash register. It was such a seamless process and perfect for families with children who all like to have their pizza a different way.
When our pizza arrived at the table, the aroma tantalized my taste buds. I had “The Tribune” that featured tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, red onion, mushroom, roasted red bell peppers, sweet Italian link sausage, kalamata olives, and ricotta. It was the perfect flavor combination, and I devoured every last bite of my pizza.
While I was enjoying my rich and delicious pizza, my daughter fell in love with “The Herald.” Her pizza featured white sauce, mozzarella, grilled chicken breast, ricotta, grape tomato, red onion, and crimini mushroom. If you love a white sauce pizza – this is the one for you.
Finally, there was the garlic cheese bread. It was a little slice of heaven, and I highly recommend getting it when dining at The Pizza Press.
If you are coming in the evening, there is a wide selection of beers on tap for the parents. There is also the option of having them make a custom made salad if someone in your family is not in the mood for pizza.
