On our second day in Cabo San Lucas, we rented a car to go discovering the beautiful area of Los Cabos. Just a few short miles from our resort, the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort, we drove down a small dirt road that would bring us to one of our favorite beaches in Los Cabos – Playa Santa Maria Beach.

After driving down this long dirt road, we found a bunch of cars parked at the start of the beach. We got out of the car and were immediately in paradise. The water was calm and crystal clear at this horseshoe-shaped cove. Not only was the water perfect for the children to swim, but it had some of the most magnificent snorkeling.

We cannot wait to return to Los Cabos, just so that we can spend another day on the sands of this majestic beach.

Where is it located? Just a few short miles from the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort. Ask the concierge at the hotel to assist you with directions.

What to bring? We recommend bringing everything you need for the day. Bring your beach towels, water, lunch, sunscreen and hats. There is not restaurants or drinking water anywhere near this beach. (There are two portable restrooms for your family to use when visiting)

Tips.
We recommend renting a car to visit this beach. You are able to get a cab ride ($25 for a family of 5), but it will be challenging to get a cab to come pick you up because of its “hidden” location.

Don’t forget your snorkel gear, and get ready to spend the day on the most beautiful beach in Los Cabos while on your vacation to this beautiful destination in Mexico.
