Superheroes Magical Musical Performance at the Pacific Symphony
Get your kids dressed in their favorite superhero costumes and bring them for an unforgettable night at the Pacific Symphony on March 14th. The action-packed musical will teach children about the different instrument families, and how an orchestra comes together.
The audience also has the opportunity to hear the talented musicians from Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, who join the Symphony onstage for their annual side-by-side performance. The concert is designed for families with children ages 5-11, and takes place Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Tickets are $19-39; for more information or to purchase tickets call (714) 755-5799 or visit www.PacificSymphony.org.
Children are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite superhero—and this hero doesn’t have to wear a cape and fly, their costume can range from comic book heroes to someone from history, or even someone they know and look up to!
In addition to the concert, a Musical Carnival takes place at 9 a.m. (for the 10 a.m. concert) and 12:15 p.m. (for the 11:30 a.m. concert). For the Musical Carnival, children may participate in a variety of hands-on activities, including meeting musicians (including from the Youth Ensembles), playing instruments from the brass family, creating their own superhero comic strips and listening to a performance by South Pointe Middle School ensembles.
