The Great Wolf Lodge Howl-O-Ween Staycation
We stayed as a guest of the venue
When looking for the best place to have a Halloween staycation with your family this year, The Great Wolf Lodge is the place to have a epic Howl-O-Ween getaway. Last week, our family had a weekend getaway to the premier vacation destination, and it was one of the best family staycations we have ever had.
We checked into The Great Wolf Lodge on a Friday afternoon, and then took the shuttle over to Disneyland for Mickey’s Halloween Party. Our kids trick-or-treated, enjoyed tasty Halloween-themed treats, and watched the fireworks twinkle over Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Once the clock struck midnight, and Disneyland started to close, we made our way back to The Great Wolf Lodge where our children would dream of cake pops and lollipops.
Our family would spend the weekend in fun KidCabin themed suite. The room had more than enough space for our family be comfortable for the weekend. It featured a spacious bathroom, living room area with couch and dinette, full-size bed, and a kid cabin sleeping area. The kid’s sleeping area looked like a mini cabin right in the middle of our hotel room with one bunk bed, and one twin bed. There was a tv and our kid’s favorite feature of being able to bring the room to life with their MagiQuest wands.
When our kid’s woke-up in the morning, we had so many choices for breakfast at The Loose Moose Family Kitchen buffet. From an omelet bar to eggs benedict, there was something for everyone to enjoy for breakfast.
Then it was time for the fun to begin at the indoor waterpark. Our kids had the thrill of a lifetime as they zoomed down Howlin Tornado water slide, hanged ten on Wolf Rider Wipeout, and floated down the Crooked Creek. It was a day full of endless fun that they never wanted to end.
Little did the know, but the fun would continue with The Great Wolf Lodge Howl-O-Ween celebration. We got the kids into their Halloween costumes and then made our way down to the lobby for some Howl-O-Ween fun. In the lobby, there is a giant spider hanging from the ceiling that is made with hundreds of balloons, a spooky haunted house, and lots of Halloween decorations.
The fun started at the haunted house where our kids were given a treat bag and a map of the resort to find the other treat stations. Our kids went on a fun Howl-O-Ween adventure throughout The Great Wolf Lodge collecting treats from the different trick-or-treat stations.
Once they had collected all of their treats, they joined the Howl-O-Ween dance party in the lobby where they danced all their energy away.
Then it was time to redeem their paw pass for a stuffed animal and wand to begin their MagiQuest adventure. They took their interactive MagiQuest wands throughout the hotel to play the interactive game.
We ended the night with dinner at The Loose Moose Family Kitchen before going back to our room for a good nights sleep.
The next morning, we checked out of our room, and the resort held our luggage while we spent the day at the waterpark. Our family created many memories together splashing and laughing in the water.
