Spring Break Skateboard Camp

Choose this Spring break to spend a week at one of the best skate camps around! We have been running camps since 2003 and have worked to make it an experience to remember. Our staff barbeques lunch for all campers on a daily basis. Specific clinics covered during camp lesson times include, the basics of ollies, how to kick flip, how to grind, bowl riding, and skating transitions. Each camper gets to design their own skateboard that they can ride on the last day of camp. All camp activities will be held by experienced Skatepark staff that has a proven successful track record in improving skateboard skills. Hone your skills on a variety of the best Skatepark terrain around including the skull bowl, the flow bowl, two large flow courses, Orange County’s only cradle, and world class street areas. Each participant will receive an official Etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest t-shirt with enrollment, skateboard deck, and a lunch/drink each day. All proceeds go directly to keeping the park free.

Bridges Equestrian Horse Camp

A full week of fun-filled-action-packed horsing around with the BRIDGES EQUESTRIAN Team! Students ages 8-13 will learn about safety, equipment, stable management, feeds & feeding, and all it takes to keep our equine team-mates healthy and happy. Nature Hikes, crafts and stable tours in the BTS EXPRESS golf cart, are just a few of the additional campy things you can expect. Each day includes a full riding lesson. No standing around waiting in OUR camps! No way! Everyone rides the full 45 minutes on their OWN horse! Held at the beautiful SYCAMORE TRAILS STABLES in San Juan Capistrano, just 1 minute off the 5 freeway. Tree and grass covered facility with COVERED arenas for those drizzly spring days! Cost is just $400 for all 5 days.
Stay all day for an additional $95 with our “Afternoon of Horses.” noon – 4:00, you’ll have another full riding lesson (a $65 value), Panera Kids lunch, more snacks, crafts and horsing around with the Bridges Equestrian Yard Management staff!” Extended day hours are available for $15each (no riding).

Come explore the greatest songs and dances from 4 decades of Disney during this week-long spring break camp of fun. Students will sing, dance, and act to classic Disney Songs and have fun along the way. The end of the week will culminate in a “Disney Through the Decades” Performance.

Exciting hands-on workshops in the morning, follwed by on-the-water activities in the afternoon. Morning sessions include practice in defying gravity, participating in a Catapult Challenge, making smoke ring launchers, solar oven s’mores, investigating the physics of propulsion as you create and test UFO hover craft and model boats. Afternoons are filled with on-the-water challenges such as fishing, sailing, kayaking, and canoeing.
April 6 - April 10 Spring Break Camp #2
Morning challenges this week feature using common items to make wacky science projects, such as making an air vortex generator, rocket powered skateboards, and fruit-powered batteries. Investigate the physics of propulsion as you create and test UFO hover craft, safe slingshots, and model boats. Top it all off with exciting afternoons fully devoted to on-the-water activities like kayaking, sailing, canoeing, and Stand-Up Paddle boards.

Registration is open for two Spring break camps that teach children about ocean science, Junior Neptunes for kids ages 6-8 & Junior Oceanographer for kids ages 9-12, on Tuesday, April 7, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The programs include:
Junior Neptunes – In this program, discover what life is like underwater as you meet “Big Al,” the fish from the popular children’s book Big Al, interact with the animals in our lab, and conduct investigations in underwater adaptations. You will also have the opportunity to venture out on the ocean aboard the R/V Sea Explorer, first exploring the harbor and then taking a brief trip outside to view the local sea lions. Cost: $75. Junior Oceanographer – What is it like to be a marine scientist? Step into their fascinating world by exploring the principles of marine biology and oceanography. Your fun-filled day includes a two-hour Marine Wildlife Cruise on the R/V Sea Explorer, a tidepool walk, and hands-on laboratory activities, including a fish dissection. This exciting experience will spark your curiosity as you dive into the magical marine world! Cost: $75. (Become a member of the Ocean Institute and receive a discount.)
