Tree House Park at Beacon Park in Irvine
We owe the discovery of this park located in the new home community of Beacon Park all to you – our awesome readers. One of our readers advised us of this cool new park opening, and we couldn’t wait to see what all the excitement was about! When we arrived, my son was in park heaven. We named it Tree House Park because the park is all about the giant tree house complete with twisty tube slide and fort.
The Giant Tree House
It is the best part of the park. There is a tree house built right into a real tree – just like the good old days of when we were kids. There is a bridge that leads to a “fort” area where a group of moms was sitting at the small tables having lunch together while their children were playing at the park. At the top of the tree house is a large twisty slide that my son played on for hours. Underneath the tree house fort is plenty of things to climb on, and some small tables for children to relax or have a snack.
Giant Obstacle Course
It is amazing! It is a massive obstacle course that children can climb, jump and slide for all day long. We have seen similar things at other parks, but nothing compares to the obstacle course at this park.
This park is anything but ordinary and has swings like my kids have never seen before. There is a unique teeter totter, mesh swing and traditional swings. The swing area had plenty of seating surrounding the area for parents to sit and relax while their children play.
There is grass forever and ever! The best part – there are balls. The community has large yoga balls for kids to bounce around on the giant grass area while playing.
Free Little Library
We love Free Little Libraries in our community, and this park features one of the best we have seen. They have a free community art room, and outside of the art room is the free little library where children can “take a book, and leave a book.”
Basketball Court/Chess Table
If your kids love playing basketball, then this is going to be their new favorite park. The park features a beautiful basketball court – complete with shade. Next to the basketball court are the bathrooms, community room, and giant chess board.
Other amazing features of this park are plenty of picnic tables, barbecues, bocce ball, community room and plenty of shade. Tree House Park is our all-new favorite family park in Orange County, and I guarantee will become yours too.
It is located next to the Great Park in Irvine in the Beacon Park Community. The cross streets are Ridge Valley and Irvine Blvd. next to the 133 toll road. Pack lunch, and plan to spend the entire day at the amazing new OC Park.
Update: We are so disappointed that the Beacon Park builders have notified us that they want this to be a private community park. Guess what? They are inviting all families to a Sunday Funday event on Nov. 22nd from 12-4pm It’s an afternoon event with non-hosted food trucks, music, drinks and fun. ~ See you there!
