Your family is invited to celebrate the different cultures of the Pacific Islands at the Aquarium of the Pacific 12th Annual Pacific Islander Festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 6th through June 7th. There will be music, artifacts, animals and more at the fun family event.

Various cultures including Hawaiian, Maori, Tahitian, Samoan, Fijian, Marshallese, Chamoru, Tokelauan, and Tongan will be featured. In celebration of World Ocean Day on June 8, the festival will include special presentations and educational programming focused on global ocean issues that affect people, particularly those living on Pacific Islands.

Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, 2014 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Included with general admission: $28.95 adult (12+) OR $18.95 with coupon on June 6-7, $25.95 senior (62+), and $14.95 child (3-11), and free for children under age three and Aquarium members

12:20 p.m. – Heritage Award Ceremony honoring Lincoln & Sissy Kaio, with opening Hawaiian dance by Halau O Lilinoe
12:55 p.m., 1:40 p.m. – Halau O Lilinoe – Hawaiian performance
2:30 p.m., 3:10 p.m., 4:00 p.m.– Nualani’s Polynesia – Tokelauan, Tahitian, Maori, and Tongan performances
