You are Invited: Change the Story: The Compassion Experience
Teaching my children about compassion is crucial to me as a parent. I do a lot of community service with my children, in hopes that they will see a need for them to make a difference in the world. My hopes are that they will grow-up to change the world – to make it a better place.
When I heard about this special event called “Change the Story: The Compassion Experience,” I was eager to learn more. It is a free event that brings guests into a different part of the world. A part of the world that our children may never see in India, Uganda and Bolivia. Each participant will be given an iPod and headphones before taking a 20-minute, self-guided tour of homes, streets, markets and schools in these Countries.
The tour is narrated by a child, who gives an inside look into their story of hope.
This is a great way to expose children to the lives of other children living in poverty through a safe and controlled environment.
The experience will be at Vanguard University at 55 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa on May 13th through the 17th. Parents can reserve their spots to attend the event online.
