Who is excited about The Gilmore Girls coming to Netflix? MEEEEE!!

I can’t wait to share this great series, “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” with my children starting on November 25th. I know that I am not the only one excited about the series coming to Netflix because thousands of fans lined the streets of LA to visit the Luke’s Diner pop-up coffee shop. We drove to Los Angeles, but unfortunately, our kids had a meltdown before we could make it into the coffee shop.

In anticipation of the upcoming Netflix series, we wanted to get everyone excited by sharing these ten fun facts about The Gilmore Girls!! If you are not already a subscriber to Netflix, then make sure and subscribe before the debut of “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” on November 25th.

Ryan Gosling auditioned for Gilmore Girls? Um..I almost died when I read this in an article in Teen Vogue.

According to Cosmopolitan Alex Borstein of MadTV was supposed to be Sookie but dropped out because of scheduling conflicts.

An article in Glamour pointed out that Lane’s dad was totally MIA. They are right. I didn’t remember seeing them in any episodes…did you? They didn’t even make an appearance at Lane’s wedding. Glamour also cited that there were way more than 1,000 daisies in Max’s proposal to Lorelai. I wonder who had the job of counting all of them?

Apparently Matthew Perry and Lauren Graham both dated in 2002 when their shows were in production. I love BuzzFeeds thoughts that Lorelai and Chandler basically dated!!

Curious about what was Graham’s favorite scenes to film? According to Mental Floss she enjoyed the Friday night dinners, even though the food was always terrible. They also claim that Graham requested to make changes to the final script because she thought, “it was too light.”

Luke’s character was supposed to be a woman? What?? I don’t want to believe that!!

According to Yahoo! TV music was so important in the series that it costs them a whopping $20,000 to have the rights to use John Lennon’s song “Oh my Love” for Rory and Dean’s breakup at the scrapyard.

It wasn’t always coffee that they were drinking. Graham told Entertainment Weekly that it was mostly water in her coffee mug.

These are just ten of the hundreds of fun facts about the Gilmore Girls that you can find out before watching the new series. If you’re planning on a season premiere party with your friends, a Gilmore Girls trivia game is a great party game idea.
