McCormick & Schmick’s

McCormick & Schmick’s will honor US Military Veterans with a complimentary lunch or dinner entrée on Sunday, November 8 in recognition of Veteran’s Day. This marks the restaurant’s 16th consecutive year in providing a special menu for our nation’s heroes.

Verification of service is required. Reservations are highly encouraged, as tables fill up quickly. Guests can visit to find a location near them and to book their reservations today.

Knott’s Berry Farm pays tribute to U.S. veterans, retired and current military personnel with free park admission during its Veteran’s celebration November 1, 2015 through December 20, 2015. This offer is valid to all past and present armed forces personnel and one guest. Six additional tickets may be purchased at a discounted rate of $25 each from November 1 – 20 and for $30 from November 21- December 20. Veteran’s Day is Wednesday, November 11, and for the eighth straight year, Applebee’s, the nation’s leading casual dining chain will honor those who served our country by hosting them for free meals at more than 2,000 of Applebee’s locations nationwide.

This Veterans Day, Applebee’s expects to serve more than one million free meals to veterans and active-duty military personnel, adding to its total of 8.5 million meals served since launching in 2007. Veterans along with those who wish to say thank you can keep an eye on the Applebee’s social channels in early November, where the brand will highlight local organizations serving Veterans and their families every day.

This year veterans and active duty military can choose a dish from the Thank You Meal Menu including Applebee’s signature and favorite items:

Wienerschnitzel, home of America’s favorite Chili Dog, is showing appreciation to members of the military this Veterans Day, November 11, with a free Chili Dog and a small Pepsi.

Participating IHOP restaurants throughout the United States will serve a stack of Red, White & Blue pancakes – buttermilk pancakes crowned with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped topping – free for Veterans and Active Duty Military on Veteran’s Day, November 11, from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.



UFC GYM is honoring the bravery and sacrifice of all U.S. veterans with free classes this Veteran’s Day. From November 11-15, UFC GYM will be opening its doors to all U.S. Armed Forces service men and women and their families.

There will also be a free, one-of-a-kind “Basic Training” DUT class offered on Sat., November 14 that includes a variety of conditioning drills similar to Military Boot Camps. Guests can expect to be challenged with a variety of modalities that include everything from TRX pull-ups, shuttle runs and suicides to sandbag carries and battle ropes.

Clothes Drive to Support Local Veterans Group
Orange County Market Place

The weekend following the Veteran’s Day holiday of Nov. 11, the Orange County Market Place, the swap meet at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, will host a clothes drive to support local veterans.

In cooperation with Clothes for the Cause, anyone who brings a bag of donated items will receive free admission to the Orange County Market Place on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 15. These donations of used clothing and other soft goods go towards supporting Patriots and Paws, a nonprofit organization that assists veterans, active military and reservists set up housing and provides basic home furnishings as well as matches those in need with a rescued companionship animal. Items that will be accepted include any and all clothes, shoes, towels, gloves, hats, sheets, blankets, quilts, bedspreads, decorative pillows (no bed pillows), drapes, luggage, area rugs, purses, belts and stuffed animals.

Clothes for the Cause (www.ClothesForThe supports groups by providing funding based on the pounds of clothing and other items received.

Whether or not you are planning to attend the Market Place, donations may also be dropped off at the admission gates from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. either day.

Admission is $2 for ages 13 and older, and free for children 12 and under. Military with identification are free.
