Clothes Drive to Support Local Veterans Group
Orange County Market Place

The weekend following the Veteran’s Day holiday of Nov. 11, the Orange County Market Place, the swap meet at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, will host a clothes drive to support local veterans.

In cooperation with Clothes for the Cause, anyone who brings a bag of donated items will receive free admission to the Orange County Market Place on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 15. These donations of used clothing and other soft goods go towards supporting Patriots and Paws, a nonprofit organization that assists veterans, active military and reservists set up housing and provides basic home furnishings as well as matches those in need with a rescued companionship animal. Items that will be accepted include any and all clothes, shoes, towels, gloves, hats, sheets, blankets, quilts, bedspreads, decorative pillows (no bed pillows), drapes, luggage, area rugs, purses, belts and stuffed animals.

Clothes for the Cause (www.ClothesForThe CauseFundraising.com) supports groups by providing funding based on the pounds of clothing and other items received.

Whether or not you are planning to attend the Market Place, donations may also be dropped off at the admission gates from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. either day.

Admission is $2 for ages 13 and older, and free for children 12 and under. Military with identification are free.
