For a unique Valentine’s Day celebration, make reservations for dinner with a Flamenco Show and dancing at Tapas Flavors of Spain at Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo. The new restaurant and entertainment hot spot is taking reservations for 6 to 9pm on Wednesday, Feb. 14, followed by a Naranjita Flamenco show at 7:30pm and dancing to Latin fusion music by a DJ at 9pm.

The three-course meal and entertainment is $38 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. The prix fixe menu will include a Tapas Appetizer Plate (with Tortilla Espanola, Sauteed Mushrooms and Crab Croquettes); a choice of one entrees, with selections including Chicken Mallorca (baked chicken breast topped with sautéed mushrooms and tomatoes in a cream sauce), House Paella (saffron rice prepared with Spanish chorizo, shrimp, chicken, bell peppers and fresh herbs), Pasta Sevillana (sautéed shrimp, Spanish olives, fresh herbs and garlic tossed with angel hair pasta in a cream sauce), or Steak a la Rioja (a 10oz. rib eye steak prepared with caramelized onions in a red wine sauce); and end on a sweet note with Chocolate Flan. A glass of Sangria is included.

Tapas serves Happy Hour, Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 to 6:30pm, with dinner served nightly from 6 to 10pm. The restaurant also serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. On Friday and Saturday nights, live Flamenco shows begin at 8pm, followed by salsa and bachata dancing until 1:30am. Tapas can accommodate private parties in its dining room or patio, and offers off-site catering with performers.

If you want to celebrate Valentine’s Day by whipping up your own romantic dinner, Antonello Ristorante will be the site of a cooking class on Friday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. Chef/owner Antonio Cagnolo and his wife, Fiorella, will offer the fine points of preparing an unforgettable meal after which attendees will enjoy the dinner (#)-course dinner. Cost is $65 per person.

Those opting to take their significant other out for a romantic dinner to celebrate the occasion may take advantage of Antonello’s extended Valentine’s holiday festivities that will be offered February 9 – 15. A special menu has been crafted for the occasion that features an antipasto plate of thinly sliced octopus and Maine lobster drizzled with olive oil and lemon served with roasted heirloom tomatoes and arugula for $25; heart-shaped lobster ravioli in a saffron cream sauce served with lobster claws and seaweed caviar for $47; three grilled lobster tails served with saffron rice and topped with white wine and butter sauce for $60; and chocolate truffles at $12 for dessert.

Antonello’s traditional menu also will be available during the Valentine’s week festivities.
Highly rated in the Zagat Guide for several years, Antonello Ristorante has earned a sterling reputation for having served local residents as well as luminaries the world over including presidents, foreign dignitaries, movie stars, entertainers, industrialists and other leaders. The interior is lighter and airier than its original Old World theme to reflect the menu’s lighter fare boasting high flavor profiles and organic ingredients. Studio’s Four-Course Valentine’s Dinner is Dedicated to Food Lovers

At Studio, Chef Craig Strong’s gourmet menus are simply elegant, seasonal and memorable. And the setting is always beyond romantic. His four-course Valentine’s dinner starts with Seared Ahi Tuna served with shaved root vegetables, shiro-dashi grapes, black garlic aioli and yuzu vinaigrette. The Orange County Great Park brings back Cupid’s Date Night, its one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day celebration, on Saturday, Feb. 10, and Sunday, Feb. 11. At 6 p.m., couples can enjoy a picnic dinner – complete with dessert and sparkling cider – in the park while listening to music and playing lawn games under the stars.

On Saturday, Feb. 10, dinner will be followed by a line-dancing lesson from 7 to 9 p.m. under the lights of the Palm Court Arts Complex. On Sunday, Feb. 11, 7-9 p.m., couples will be led through a guided painting lesson inside the Artist Studios. At the end of the evening, each couple will walk away with a souvenir photo.

Guests are also welcome to explore the nearby Heritage and Aviation Exhibition in the historical Hangar 244, which features images, displays and artifacts that tell the story of the Great Park from its agricultural roots to its role in the military as the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro. Cupid’s Date Night guests are encouraged to bring a blanket for the picnic dinner. In the case of rain, the event will be moved indoors.

Since Wino Wednesday lovingly shares the same date as Valentine’s Day this year, Three Seventy Common Food+Drink is celebrating by expanding its Wino WednesdayMenu offerings. A special Four-Course Valentine’s Menu will be available with choices and wine pairing. This Four-Course Dinner-of-the-day sounds irresistible with an Amuse to start.
