20th Anniversary Scare-ebration Comes to The El Capitan Theater

The Nightmare Before Christmas at the El Capitan Theater

Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is coming to the El Capitan Theater in Disney 3-D with newly enhanced interactive 4-D Sensory Effects for the 20th Anniversary Scare-ebration. The celebration begins on October 15th through November 3rd with a special opening night hosted by Ken Page.

Fans of the film have never seen the movie like this before with its spook-tacular 4-D sensory effects. The special effects will include wind, snow and fog for guests to experience while watching the film. There will be a special 20th anniversary display on the making of the film in the lower lounge, featuring a Halloween Town scare model, and more!

The celebration begins with a special opening night on October 15th at 7pm with host Ken Page, the voice of Mr. Oogie Boogie, along with other surprise guests.

“The Nightmare Before Christmas” screens daily at the El Capitan Theatre at
10:00 am, 12:15 pm, 2:30 pm, 4:45 pm, 7:00 pm, and 9:15 pm. Special late night Halloween weekend shows will be given at 11:15 pm Fridays and Saturdays only.

Tickets can be purchased at the El Capitan box office (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), online , or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6.

Following the movie, El Capitan guests can continue the celebration at the
“20th Anniversary Treat-tastic!” Tickets are $40 per person and include a VIP ticket to the movie (reserved seat, popcorn & drink), desserts, activities, souvenir photo, prizes and much more! Seating is limited. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
