7th Annual San Pedro Dia de los Muertos Festival

On Sunday, October 28, 2018, Los Angelenos will unite to celebrate Hispanic culture as The San Pedro Property Owners’ Alliance, a nonprofit organization, presents The 7th Annual San Pedro Dia de los Muertos Festival. With over 10,000 locals expected to attend, Los Angeles and Orange County visitors will experience a vibrant and historic downtown filled with a festive live entertainment lineup including energetic and globally-inspired performances by two-time grammy award winning performers, Mariachi Divas, and celebrated local headliners and Kotolan, and Salt Petal.

New to this year’s festivities is the Jose Cuervo Tradicional bar and Tequila garden. This bar area will offer a variety of cocktails created with Tradicional tequila – the first 100% agave tequila created over 200 years ago by Jose Antonio de Cuervo. In addition to cocktails, Jose Cuervo Tradicional will honor its past with a large scale ofrenda display for guests to view alongside the festival’s famed altar competition.

Guests can also sample freshly prepared regional Mexican fare such as menudo from Juanita’s Mexican Foods, Mexican soft drinks Jarritos, and savory offerings from Del Real Mexican Food and a variety of authentic food stands and trucks. Children are invited to enjoy face painting and children’s activities in the Kid’s Zone while adults can purchase authentic crafts, handmade jewelry, clothing and other specialty items made by regional artisans.

Featuring uniquely designed altars at the Altars Competition and Exhibition and over 30 food and craft vendors, visitors are encouraged to come dressed in Dia de los Muertos themed costumes and participate in the festivities. Entries are now being accepted for the Festival’s “Amazing Altars Contest”. Grand Prize is $1,000 for First Place winners. Altar entry details along with complete festival information and parking map can be found at:

With a full entertainment lineup guests will also enjoy live entertainment on the two stages including the Main Stage and Community Stage featuring Folklorico Del Mar, Folklorico Nadino, Folklorico Perlitas de Wilmington, Mariachi Academy of Carson, and Grand Vision’s Team Taiko. The sounds of contemporary and traditionally-inspired Mexican folklore music will be heard throughout the streets of downtown San Pedro. This FREE, family-oriented event will feature live entertainment, beer garden, delicious foods, crafts for kids, altar contest exhibition, and more!
