Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven in Santa Rosa

Posted by on May 6, 2019 in Dining, Santa Rosa, Travel | 0 comments

We dined at Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven as a guest of Santa Rosa One of my favorite restaurants that I visited while in Santa Rosa was the Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven. The restaurant is a short drive from The Sandman Hotel, and offers guests authentic Indian cuisine with an upscale ambiance. The minute that I walked into the restaurant I felt like I was in a restaurant located in Manhattan. The space blends rustic elements, like unfinished wood and exposed brick, with modern furniture. We took a seat at one of the tables on the second floor and got ready to dine on Indian classics paired with local wine. Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven Appetizers I love Indian food, and one of my favorite dishes is Pani Puri. It is traditional Indian street food, and it is...

We attended as a guest of the venue Cinderella is a classic fairy tale, and it also happens to be one of my favorite fairy tales ever. I have seen Cinderella in many different forms of production including musical theater, ballet, hip-hop, movies, etc. But, I think ballet is one of my favorite forms to watch this story told is through ballet. I have seen many ballets of Cinderella before, and they were all amazing, but seeing it performed by the Maple Conservatory of Dance at the Irvine Barclay Theatre & Cheng Hall has one has to be one of my favorites. I already knew I was going to like it when I started reading the program and saw a few familiar names. As soon as the first act started, I was immersed in an entirely different version of...

Since fall has come, I decided to make some stamped necklaces for Halloween. These are very simple to make and it is something any child can do. This post was sponsored by Achim Home Décor as part of an Influencer Activation and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. Now that our family will be spending a lot more time indoors, I decided to start working on some home improvement projects. For the longest time, I have wanted to redo the flooring in my home office area, and I had been shopping at our local Walmart for Achim Home Décor flooring. There are so many choices with Achim Home Décor that I had trouble deciding on what type of flooring I wanted to put in my room. We visited as a guest of the venue Calling all Disney fans The Walt Disney Archives has arrived at The Bowers Museum. Established in 1970, the archive has collected, preserved, cataloged, and made available for study merchandise, awards, pictures, art, and so much more.  This 10,000 square foot exhibit made its debut in 2018 for Japan’s D23 expo, and due to its popularity, the team in Japan asked if they could tour the exhibition. After a nine-city tour that took 19 months, The Walt Disney Archives bought the exhibit back home.  Seeing the success and outpouring of love for the archives in Japan, the company decided that they needed to share the spirit of Disney starting right here in Walt’s backyard. Disney Pixar’s Onward: A Brotherly Bond

Posted by on Mar 4, 2020 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of Disney I think I’m a pretty good mother, I must say. But taking my teen daughters to the press event for Disney Pixar’s Onward certainly ensured my place in the Mom Hall of Fame. Yes, my 19-year-old has a poster of Tom Holland on her dorm room wall at college while my 17-year-old loves Guardians of the Galaxy, so taking them to hear Onward voice stars Chris Pratt and Tom Holland (both of Avengers fame) was a complete dream come true. What I didn’t expect was how much this animated film would resonate with all three of us, and especially my daughters, as close sisters. Onward is entertaining to be sure. It’s a great story about two brothers off on a journey to spend a day with their dad, who passed away when...

Posted by on Mar 3, 2020 in Family, Green Living, Health, Parenting | 0 comments

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Primo® water. One of the biggest questions that I get asked is, “how does your skin look so good?” It has only been a little over a year that I have been frequently asked that question, and there is only one answer. Hydration. For most of my life, I had terrible skin. My skin was always dry, and I saw premature signs of aging at a very young age. One day, I looked in the mirror and noticed that I had so many wrinkles and didn’t look or feel my best. After talking with a close friend, she recommended that I start drinking more water. As a busy mom, it can be hard to get all the required cups of water needed in our daily diet, and I don’t really like...
