Posted by on Jul 25, 2017 in Camp | 0 comments

I attended camp as a guest of the venue A few weeks ago my mom told me that I would be participating Designer Camp that was going to be held for the first time in Orange County at the SOCO Collection. I was super excited not because it was my first summer camp this summer, but because it was DESIGNER summer camp. When I first arrived at SOCO at 8:45 am, some friendly team members greeted me, and they directed me to Drifter to where the camp was meeting. Once I was inside, I checked myself in, and all of the team members introduced themselves and gave me and name tag. Once I got to the studio, I sat down in a chair and then was given a bag that I was to decorate and a clipboard with my...

Every time that we plan a trip to the beach, I try to plan something special to make the visit unique and special for the kids. One of the sites that I have enjoyed using to make our beach days fun this summer is celebrations.com. I had used them for invitations when inviting friends, DIY, recipes and to order special treats like the beach themed cookies I ordered this past week. When the cookies arrived at the front door, the kids screamed with excitement about our next trip to the beach so they could have the delicious buttercream...

We attended a screening of Disneynature Penguins as a guest of Disney Tomorrow is Earth Day and the day that the world is invited to experience Disneynature’s all-new film, Penguins. Earlier this month, I attended a special screening of the film and a short interview with the Producer Roy Conli. Disneynature films have always been my favorite to watch with my children. The movies take us to places in the world that we most likely will never see and we get to follow the journey of beautiful animals. This year, the Disneynature film is all about penguins. Who doesn’t love penguins? They are so cute, and my kids and I could find ourselves spending hours watching them Sea World. I have always been curious about how they live in the wild, and the movie taught me so much about...

We attended the performance of Aladdin as a guest Who doesn’t love a classic Disney movie turned into a Broadway production? With the lights, the costumes and the live acting there is something for everyone to enjoy. Aladdin is one of the most exciting Disney princess movies of all time (in my opinion,) so when seeing it performed on a stage, you can imagine the greatness. I went to the theater with my mom, and we quickly took our seats. We waited for the show to begin. From the very second, the show started to the last second, the energy was always so high and never faltered. It had me singing along to every classic song during and after the show. One thing that stood out to me in this production was the fantastic costumes! Every character was dressed...

What do you do when you receive beautiful Baby Heirloom Tomatoes from Melissa’s Produce? You make something delicious. Last night, dinner was a disaster. I attempted to make a recipe that failed and found myself digging through the freezer for food to feed the kids. That ended up being hot dogs. Ugh. I quickly learned what food snobs my kids have become after feeding them organic, fresh food every night of the week. I’ve never been that macaroni and cheese + hot dogs kinda mom. After all the dirty looks and complaining I got from the kids over dinner, I decided to surprise them with a delicious dessert. About Kiwi Berries Kiwi berries are very sweet, and I thought they would compliment the heirloom tomatoes, and the sweet cheese mixture perfectly. And, it was incredible. For the crust, if...

I attended Dear Evan Hansen as a guest of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts Recently I had the opportunity to go The Segerstrom Center for the Arts and watch the Tony Award Winning show. Dear Evan Hansen. I have been wanting to see this show ever since my mom had seen in on Broadway in New York with Ben Platt. She told me all about how moving and beautiful it was, so I was counting down the days until I could see it. We drove the theatre at the start of the New Year and prepared ourselves to see the show. I had no idea what to expect, but I had listened to the soundtrack before, so I was excited to hear all the songs on stage. We arrived and went upstairs to take our classic Segerstrom photo...
