A Behind the Scenes Look at Marvel Universe Live!

We visited as a guest of the venue

Yesterday my children and I were given the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the all new Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes live action show at the Honda Center.  My son is a huge Marvel fan and was excited to see how the team makes the magic come alive.

We were greeted by the stunt superhero team which gave us a demonstration on how they perform their moves.  Fight 101 wasn’t just hands on; it was also about mind control.  Ten hours of training daily is how this team makes sure that they are not only safe but also on point.

The show is action packed with so many moving parts, being in sync with one another is what is need to make the show a success and to keep everyone in it safe.

We were given a live action demo, and then they brought up my daughter to teach her how she too could be part of the stunt team.  Hard work, skill, and love of the art are what it takes to be a Marvel Universe superhero, and we truly appreciate their talent.

Next, we were given access to the costumes; they are beautifully hand crafted and one of a kind.  With all the action I was surprised to learn that the costumes are hardly ever damaged.  If by chance something occurs, the repair is done quickly so that the costume can be worn immediately.  I have to say that impressed me especially with all the kicking, jumping and action that they see.

The show will run at Honda Center from July 20-23. Marvel fans will be right there watching Spider-Man, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Doctor Strange come together to protect the universe against Loki.

That’s right Loki is up to his old tricks and is in search of the Wand of Watoomb so that he can gain the power to crown himself the ruler of the universe.  Hopefully, the Marvel crew will be able to stop him before we all have to bow down to Loki.  Be sure to go to book your tickets to see how the story unfolds at

I’m an OC mom of two and photographer. I love living in Southern California and want to expose my children to all that it offers. I love taking my kids on adventures and capturing their every moment so much so that my kids find it odd if I don’t take their pictures. You can see my work on
