A Little Book of Cheese at Melissa’s Produce
Cheese? Yes, please! When I got an invite to attend a celebration of Chef Debbi Dubbs cookbook, A Little Book of Cheese, I immediately said, “Yes!”
When I arrived at Melissa’s Produce, the kitchen smelled amazing. There were multiple dishes featuring cheese, and I quickly learned that the aromatic dish was the minestrone soup. I enjoyed a quick meet and greet with Chef Debbi. She signed a cookbook for me to bring home to my daughter, and also gave me a copy of her second cookbook.
Next, it was time to taste some of her recipes.
Lunch at Melissa’s Produce
I started by trying her apple pecan salad with goat cheese. Then, I had a taste of the Italian chopped salad. Both of the salads were amazing, but I found myself going back for seconds of the Italian chopped salad.
When it came to the main dishes, it was the chicken parmigiana that I could not resist eating every last bite. I am normally not a big fan of this dish, but her recipe was amazing. Amazing enough that I look forward to making it for my family later this week.
Clearly, the highlight of the meal was the fondue palmiers. I felt like I had died and went to cheese heaven with every bite of this delicious dish. I recommend purchasing the cookbook just to get your hands on this recipe.
Follow lunch, we enjoyed a tutorial where she taught us how to create a perfect charcuterie board. You can learn more by watching the Facebook Live on the Melissa’s Produce Facebook page.
