“A Taste of Greece” Comes to Orange County June 21-23

Is there anything better than a summer day in Orange County filled with food, wine and great music?   Orange County’s 35th annual “A Taste of Greece” festival return on June 21-23 bringing three days of exactly this to Irvine.

A very popular Orange County event, around 11,000 guests are expected to attend “A Taste of Greece” to enjoy all of the tradition Green food and entertainment.  Between Greek cuisines, wine tastings, dancing lessons, and live music, guests will be have a wide range of entertainment to choose from.  The historical honor will appeal to many as boutique booths are inspired by a well-known historical neighborhood in Athens known as Plaka.

“A Taste of Greece” will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, June 21st, 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 22nd, and 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 23rd.  Admission is really well priced at $3 per person and children under the age of 10 receive free admission with an adult.  Seniors older than 65 years of age can enjoy free admission on Saturday from noon – 5 p.m.   Shuttle buses will be complimentary from public parking sites and free festival parking is also available.

Families in Orange County will enjoy that “A Taste of Greece” is family-friendly and offers entertainment for children. A full-scale carnival and games will allow families to relax and enjoy their days at this festival. You can also tour the church to get views of the beautiful sanctuary filled with inspiring Christian artwork.

The food is certainly a draw for many people.  What’s not to love about the ability to enjoy traditional Greek food like Spanakopita (spinach and feta pie), Dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves), and one of our favorites, Loukoumathes…aka Greek doughnut holes?
