Acclaimed Chef Ross Pangilinan Returns to South Coast Plaza to Open TERRACE by Mix Mix

Ross Pangilinan, the award-winning chef/owner of Mix Mix Kitchen Bar in downtown Santa Ana, returns to South Coast Plaza to open a second restaurant, TERRACE by Mix Mix. Pangilinan held residence at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts for seven years as executive chef of Leatherby’s Cafe Rouge before opening his own restaurant, Mix Mix Kitchen Bar, in 2016. His second restaurant, TERRACE by Mix Mix, opens Tuesday, September 11.

Drawing inspiration from Italian, French and modern Filipino cuisines, Pangilinan offers an eclectic, yet refined menu designed for South Coast Plaza’s global audience. The restaurant offers a three-course prix-fixe lunch for $15 on weekdays; a nightly full-service dinner featuring seasonal preparations of housemade pastas and small plates of fish, meats, and vegetables; as well as a weekend ‘Bottomless Bubbles’ brunch. The menus at TERRACE also include a few mainstays from Mix Mix Kitchen Bar, which was named the 2017 Restaurant of the Year by Orange Coast Magazine. In addition to its eclectic menu of global cuisine, TERRACE offers a globally inspired, value-driven wine list with over 20 wines by the glass as well as a rotating selection of local and international beers.

True to its name, TERRACE by Mix Mix offers diners a covered 80-seat terrace beautifully designed with communal, banquette, and lounge seating. Inside offers a small wine bar, additional seating, and an open kitchen with a mosaic-tiled pizza oven at its center.
