Acorn Park in Aliso Viejo
When we first moved to Aliso Viejo, we loved Acorn Park for its “in the hill” tunnel slides. Once the tunnels were removed, we found ourselves coming to this park less often. We recently returned to the park to find that it is better than ever with its beautiful new playground equipment.
This park is right next to a local elementary school, so it is often busy during the weekdays, but hardly ever used on the weekends. Again, since it is right next to a public school, parking is always a challenge on a weekday.
Our favorite thing about this park is the large amount of nature that surrounds this park. There are large bushes, lots of grass and small pathways for kids to explore. My kids love running through the giant tunnels that connect the three different sand areas of the park together.
There are three different sections to this park. There is the large climber section with a small swing set, a toddler play area, and a larger swing set play area. There is a drinking fountain, and nice bathrooms available for kids to use who are playing.
I recommend brining your camera because you are going to find lots of great photo spots to capture your kids playing. My favorite things to do is taking the kids on a short walk along the wooden steps that back the park. If you have a little climber in your family – this is the best park for them! There are the most climbing structures of any park in Aliso Viejo here at Acorn Park! Have fun!
