Anita Street Beach in Laguna Beach
Anita Street Beach located in Laguna Beach is a great beach to visit with your family this summer. It is frequented by local teens on the weekdays, and families on the weekends. Our favorite thing about this beach is that it is right across the street from our favorite frozen yogurt shop, Active Cultures, where we enjoy a refreshing frozen yogurt after a day at the beach.
The challenge to visiting this beach is the parking. It is located right in the heart of downtown South Laguna Beach where all the popular shops and restaurants are located. It might take your family a little bit of driving around for a parking space, but it will be well worth it.
Once your family finds a parking spot and walks down to the beautiful sandy beach, there are plenty of spots to set-up for the day. The beach is located in-between two of the most popular surfing beaches in Orange County – Thalia and Oak – so make sure and encourage your kids to swim right off Anita, or they might make some local surfers a little angry.
The waves are good at this beach – perfect for boogie boarding, and they don’t cut too short (safer for kids). It is also a very clean beach, and the water is often crystal clear without a lot of seaweed or trash washing up on the sand.
After spending the day at the beach, stop for some frozen yogurt or walk to Gina’s Pizza that is just a short block away. Visiting Anita Beach with your family is the perfect way to have an unforgettable summer day in Orange County.
Where is it located? It is located at the corner of PCH and Anita Street. There is metered parking surrounding the beach (that does accept credit cards).
