Black Panther Teen Review

Posted by on Feb 16, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of Disney In my family when a new Marvel movie comes out we start counting down the days until we all can see it. When we heard about Black Panther, my brothers totally flipped and couldn’t wait to watch it. My mom and I actually had to keep it a secret that we were going to see the movie before them. So, when my brothers thought that my mom and I were going up to LA to have some fun, we knew that we were about to watch another great Marvel Movie and the Disney Studio Lot. When we first got to the Studio Lot, we went and found parking and then walked to the theater to see the film. Having watched all the trailers for the movie hours before at dinner, we were...

Paddington 2: A Story about Kindness and Friendship

Posted by on Jan 9, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended a screening as a guest of the studio From the first moment I watched Paddington, I fell in love with the tiny little bear cub. I absolutely love cute animals (who doesn’t?!?), and Paddington was that, plus he has a great story to tell. From the story to the characters there was nothing you couldn’t love about the cute, kind, and not to mention fluffy bear. When I saw the first commercial for Paddington 2, I was beyond excited to see the film. The first Paddington has my heart, and I didn’t think it could get much better, but it did. The heartwarming story of Paddington and all of the crazy adventures he goes on could keep me entertained for days on end. Paddington has now become my new role model because he always looks for the...

We visited as a guest of the venue Winter is my favorite season, and part of that is because of the holidays and all the fun lights and decorations. I also love the cold weather and sipping on hot cocoa with my family. This year, my family and I attended Winter Fest OC at the OC Fair Grounds. There is ice skating, carnival rides, snow tubing, food, and many more fun activities. My younger brothers favorite was the ice skating, while my older brother and I loved all of the thrilling carnival rides. Snow tubing was an enjoyable way to bring the...

We visited as a guest of the venue It has become one of our favorite family traditions to visit The Segerstrom Center for the Arts. From classical ballets to upbeat musicals, my family and I always love going to see performances at the Segerstrom Center. When I learned that Motown the Musical was going to be part this season’s Broadway series, I couldn’t wait for the night when I would get to see the musical. Before going to the show with my Dad, my Mom and older brother had already been to seen it and could not stop talking about how great it was, which got me even more excited. My dad has been listening to Motown Music since I was a young child, and I couldn’t wait to experience the story of how Motown Music came to be...

Laguna Playhouse Aladdin and his Winter Wish

Posted by on Dec 19, 2017 in Entertainment, Theatre | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue Growing up with a rich theater life and now going to school that revolves around theater I have now become a little theater critic. Every play or musical I go to see, I love to think in my head “what could’ve been better” or “what was so good about it.” When I went to see Aladdin and His Winter Wish at the Laguna Playhouse the whole time I was just thinking “wow!” Aladdin has always been one of my favorite Disney Princess movies and putting that into a theatrical production where they mix up the whole story was a little bit scary for me, but the story they created and the characters they added had just the right touch to make this the best version of Aladdin. I have only ever...

The Star Movie Teen Film Review

Posted by on Nov 17, 2017 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended the screening as a guest of the studio Ever since I was a little kid, I have heard the story of the first Christmas and the birth of Jesus. From my beginner’s bible to my pocket bible I have not only read about, but my family has been telling me the story ever since I was a little girl. There has never been an animated film in the animal’s perspective based off of the first Christmas. The fact that it has never been done before just makes me want to see it even more, so I was super excited about this film. Throughout the entire movie, my brother and I were laughing about the funny ones that some of the animals made and the fact that the animals would try to talk to the humans, but they...

Wonder Movie Teen Film Review

Posted by on Nov 17, 2017 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended the screening as a guest of the studio The book Wonder by R.J Palacio has been my favorite book ever since I was old enough to read. I found out they were making a movie based on the book Wonder a couple of months ago and I started counting down the days. Wonder has such a unique and touching story, and I couldn’t wait to see how they put it into a film. When the film began to start, I was immediately struck by how realistic the whole thing was. It was like the words from the book had been put on a giant movie screen. Even though I had read the book before, it was like seeing the story in a whole new way. Being able actually to see what everyone and everything look like gives...

These are my three reasons why teenagers should watch the Lion King. The music. Almost every teenager loves music, and the Lion King has the best music ever.  Vehicle provided on behalf of Kia Back to the Future is one of my favorite movies EVER!!! I have watched the series more times than I can count. When I heard that the house of Doc Brown was in Pasadena and we were there, I knew I had to go. I asked my mom if we could go and she said, of course!!! When we pulled up in front of the house, I practically screamed with the excitement of seeing the house from my favorite movie. When we first arrived, I sat on the edge of our Kia Sorento looking at the house because I thought it was so cool. Once we found a parking spot, we got out of our Kia Sorento and went to the front porch. We choose just to walk around the outside, but if...

Best Back to School Natural Cosmetics: L’eclisse

Posted by on Aug 21, 2017 in Beauty, Family | 0 comments

Samples received As a teenager I love makeup! I had tried multiple brands of cosmetics, but never really found one that I loved, so right before I went back school I decided to try L’eclisse. L’eclisse is unlike any makeup brand I have ever tried before. It makes my skin feel light and not weighed down by tons of makeup. Here are five reasons why I absolutely love them! All of L’eclisse products stay on through the whole school day. If you are a teenager, you know how hard it is to find a brand of cosmetics that stays on through all of your classes. If you are an adult, L’elisse will remain on a whole workday. L’eclisse cosmetics don’t contain some of the harmful substances that can damage your skin like other brands. When I wear their makeup...

Not only is it all you can eat food/drink (if you get a VIP ticket), but there is also a band, people dancing, and photo ops everywhere! Lobsterfest is not just an event for adults, but kids will have a blast too. Every year I have attended Lobsterfest I leave with some amazing lobster memories. My favorite thing to do at Lobsterfest is to take pictures with Lido the Lobster and some real lobsters. Teens would love all of the different photo opportunities Lobsterfest has to offer, and you’ll have your Instagram followers craving some fresh Maine lobster. Another...

What to Expect at your First Invisalign Teen Appointment

Posted by on Jul 31, 2017 in Beauty, Invisalign | 0 comments

Sponsored by Invisalign I recently had my first Invisalign Teen appointment with Dr. Passamano in Irvine. When I went to the orthodontics office, I had no idea what to expect, and I was super excited to start the first step of getting my Invisalign aligners. I went inside of Dr. Passamano’s office, checked myself in with the front office staff, and then went to sit down in the waiting room. When they called my name, I confidently walked into the office where I would have my first appointment. Meeting with the Orthodontist Shortly after arriving, they called my name and brought my mom and me into a room to have my first official consultation. Dr. Passamano talked to me about what Invisalign is, and what they will do transform my smile. He first looked at my teeth to ensure...

Burke Williams Teen Facial Experience

Posted by on Jul 31, 2017 in Beauty, Giveaways | 38 comments

Sponsored Being a teenager can feel very stressful at times. What I have been learning is that when I am stressed, it will lead to pimples on my face. This year, I am starting a new school, and as the summer is slowly coming to an end, I have been stressed about meeting new friends and fitting in at my new school. Because of my “new school stress” my face has been breaking out, and my mom knew just what I needed – a mother/daughter spa day and a teen facial. Not only is a spa day relaxing and helps to alleviate stress, but when having a facial, you’ll leave with glowing skin. I have been to a couple of hotel spas before, but nothing compared to my experience at Burke Williams. Since I am not 18 yet, I...

I was super excited not because it was my first summer camp this summer, but because it was DESIGNER summer camp. When I first arrived at SOCO at 8:45 am, some friendly team members greeted me, and they directed me to Drifter to where the camp was meeting. Once I was inside, I checked myself in, and all of the team members introduced themselves and gave me and name tag. Once I got to the studio, I sat down in a chair and then was given a bag that I was to decorate and a clipboard with my...

We visited as a guest of the venue/vehicle provided by Kia I have grown up going on a regular basis to see performances at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The creativity of the artists I have watched perform over the years made me fall in love with the arts, and then become an integrated arts student at the Orange County School of the Arts. Every time that I see a performance at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, I am blown away, especially when seeing The Bodyguard the Musical. We went to see the performance earlier in the week, and I didn’t know what to expect. I knew that the film which the musical is based on was one of my mom’s favorite movies as a teenager, and so I knew that it was going to be something...

My Teen Invisalign Consultation

I have been able to watch his smile transform over the past year without any pain or inconvenience from traditional braces. Since I wanted them so badly so that I can show my teeth when I smile, my mom scheduled me to have a consultation with Dr. Passamano in Irvine to see if my teeth are ready to begin treatment. When I walked into Dr. Passamano’s office, I was super excited to see if I was ready to start Invisalign. I sat in the waiting room as my mom checked me in for my appointment...

The warehouse isn’t usually open to the public, and I was honored to be invited to see their vast collection of dresses in person. I tried on about eight dresses and loved all of...

I recently had my first consultation with Dr. Passamano in Irvine where he inspected my teeth and talked to me about how my Invisalign treatment will go. When we took our seats in the theater, I was so excited for the film to start. I had watched the trailer over and over again until I was able to watch the full movie. I love movies that teach me about the history and the world before I knew it. True story films are always the best movies to watch. When the movie started playing, I...
