Brew Ha Ha 2017: Rare Beer, New Releases, and More

Posted by on Oct 2, 2017 in Events | 0 comments

I attended as a guest of the event. On Saturday, September 23rd at the picturesque Oak Canyon Park, craft beer aficionados like myself attended Brew Ha Ha Craft Beer Festival, the largest craft beer festival in Orange County. Upon our arrival, my boyfriend David and I received swag that was reserved for Rare Beer Section + VIP ticket holders: a commemorative tasting glass, a Brew Ha Ha tote bag, and a koozie. Underneath the canopies that lined the park’s grounds, brewery employees and volunteers poured more than 250 craft and import beer samplings from more than 90 breweries. Vendors sold craft beer related merchandise such as t-shirts and hats. Big Brother Big Sister of Orange County and Inland Empire received a portion of the event’s proceeds and requested donations in exchange for pretzel necklaces. I have never felt so...

Brew Hee Haw 2017: Not Your Ordinary Craft Beer Roundup

Posted by on Jul 19, 2017 in Events | 0 comments

I attended as a guest of the event. Year after year, the OC Fair continues to allure me with its fried food and exhibits, but this year, Brew Hee Haw Craft Beer Roundup showed me why the fair’s opening weekend is the best time to go. This craft beer festival, held on July 15 and 16, served as the perfect excuse to attend the fair earlier than I usually do and was an incredible outing for my friend David and me. My expectation for OC Brew Ha Ha Productions’ fourth annual Brew Hee Haw was high due to my experience at Brew Haha, and I can happily commend that they succeeded. Entering the festival was really easy – once we walked through the fair’s gates, we spotted the large tent where the festival was happening right away. Security quickly...

It is not every day that high school students have the opportunity to work with legendary artists of our time. However, 21 students in the Orange County School of the Arts’ (OCSA) Ambassador Jazz Orchestra participated in the once-in-a-lifetime master class with the internationally renowned trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis on Friday, October 7, 2016. For those not familiar with the nine-time Grammy Award winner, Wynton Marsalis is the managing and artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center. In 1983 and 1984, he became the first, and only artist to win both classical and jazz Grammys in the same year. The master class is a part of the arts charter school’s Master Artist Series in celebration of its 30th anniversary. The sold-out crowd of more the 425 attendees bubbled with excitement in anticipation for the beginning of the...

Refreshing Brews and Scenic Views at the California Beer Festival

Posted by on Oct 3, 2016 in Dining, Events | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of the California Beer Festival. On September 10, 2016, at Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park in San Dimas, my best friend, Maria and myself joined many other craft beer enthusiasts for an afternoon filled with beer tastings, great music and delicious food. Saturday is dubbed as Craft Beer Heaven, due to the featuring of over 70 craft beers on tap. Entering the venue was smooth from the freeway to the parking lot, due to the vast amount of signage posted along the way. Festival goers were greeted immediately by the gorgeous view of a lake that resides at the park. Once we checked in and I received my 3 oz souvenir glass, I began my quest to taste as many of the craft beers as possible from a variety of breweries, such as Fullerton-based...

We attended as a guest of the venue The 7th Annual Brew Ha Ha Craft Beer Festival, occurred on Saturday, September 24th at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, California. Living up to the reputation as “Orange County’s Favorite Beer Festival” may seem like a difficult feat every year. Before I begin to share my Brew Ha Ha experience, I must commend the event team at Brew Ha Ha Productions for a job well and living up to its reputation. The 7th Annual Brew Ha Ha Craft Beer Festival was a huge success! My friend, Edgar and I arrived to the event in an Uber, because we wanted to take advantage of the free shuttle service that transported attendees to the Tustin Metrolink Station post-event. The drive to Oak Canyon Park was smooth. Event security was available to make the...
