Barefoot by the Sea at Beaches Turks and Caicos
We attended the Beaches Social Media on the Sand Conference
Our favorite family restaurant when staying at Beaches Turks and Caicos has always been Barefoot by the Sea. The restaurant is located right on the waterfront where families can dine on delicious cuisine while digging their toes into the warm white sand. The restaurant has a relaxed feel with mahogany picnic tables and sandy floors but with an elevated cuisine. During our recent stay at the resort, our family dined at Barefoot many times with breakfast and lunch offering favorite dishes.
Barefoot was our first meal upon arriving at the resort where we had the best lunch to kick-off our stay. We were greeted by friendly staff who came with a glass of bubbling champagne and a menu to select what we felt like enjoying for lunch. We began our lunch with a crisp and fresh caesar salad made with chunky romaine lettuce, croutons, parmesan, crispy bacon and caesar dressing. The salad was light, fresh, delicious, and we enjoyed eating it multiple times throughout our stay.
For the main course, we shared the grilled cajun skewered shrimp with a pineapple and red onion salad. It was paired with crispy french fries and chili ketchup. I guarantee that you’ll be left craving more of this savory seafood dish, and I recommend ordering two to enjoy for lunch.
The staff at Barefoot is all about accommodating their guests. My daughter was craving a steak, and the staff transformed their “steak sandwich” dish and offered her a perfectly cooked steak with a side of peas and rice.
Breakfast at Barefoot was just as fantastic as lunch. Our meal began with a basket of freshly baked pastries, coffee, and mimosas. I savored the rich and delicious flavors of the Barefoot Eggs Benedict featuring plantain tostones, grilled ham, tomato, soft poached egg, and a coconut pineapple hollandaise sauce. It was a Benedict like I’ve never had before, and I am still craving more of the coconut pineapple hollandaise sauce.
While I was in Benedict heaven, my daughter once again transformed their steak and egg sandwich into a plain steak topped with eggs. The steak was cooked to perfection and satisfied all of her culinary desires.
My husband went for a more traditional breakfast with their All-American dish. The meal featured scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns and a grilled tomato. While he enjoyed a simple and delicious breakfast, our two boys enjoyed a bowl of their favorite cereal.
When visiting Beaches Turks and Caicos, don’t miss taking your family on a culinary adventure at Barefoot by the Sea.
