Basil Pesto Pasta Recipe
When the boys are stuck at football practice until late, and I find myself not knowing what to cook for dinner, this Basil Pesto Pasta Recipe is one of my all-time favorites. I am able to prepare one of the fastest (and delicious) meals that my family loves. The best part of this recipe is that it’s simple, less than five ingredients, and can be prepared in just a few short minutes.
This recipe is a gift from one of my dear friends who first made it for me after giving birth to my son Tyler. The recipe is delicious served either hot or cold, and is paired perfectly with a fresh salad and warm garlic bread.
Basil Pest Pasta Recipe
Makes: 4 Servings
Ingredients:
3-4 Tbl. of Basil leaves (chopped)
1 small package of Buitoni pesto with basil sauce
1 large package of Buitoni tortellini
1/2 cup of shredded parmesan
1/2 cup of chopped sun dried tomatoes
Directions:
1. Boil the tortellini in a pot of boiling water per the package instructions.
2. While the tortellini is cooking, mix the remaining ingredients into a bowl.
3. Once the tortellini is drained, then add it to the mixture.
4. Mix well. Serve!
