Best Beaches On the East Coast to Visit

The west coast of America is often credited with having the best beaches, however, there are some hidden gems all along the east coast. From beautiful landscapes found in Massachusetts in places like Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard to mesmerizing beaches in New Jersey such as Cape May. Here is a list of some of the best beaches to visit on the east coast.

Nantucket, Massachusetts

If you are looking for a secluded beach to roam by yourself or with your partner, then Great Point might be just what you are looking for. Located on the eastern side of Nantucket island, this beach has magnificent scenery. The reason for this beach being so untouched is mostly because it requires a 4×4 vehicle to get to as well as a permit. When you do make it to this beach, you will find a beautiful lighthouse surrounded by a gorgeous beach as well as wonderful grassland. This beach is great for quiet getaways with someone special in your life.

Block Island, Rhode Island

Block Island is home to one of the more unique beaches on the east coast. You can access this beach by ferry and will have to climb down 141 steps, starting at the top of a cliff. The journey is well worth it as when you reach the seafront, you are met with a breathtaking view of the ocean. The cliffs merging with the rocky sea make for a picturesque scene perfect for a picnic or sunset. If you find yourself in the Rhode Island area, make sure to take full advantage of this hidden spot.

East Hampton, New York

Although not an unknown beach, East Hampton located in New York is a terrific spot. In fact, it is so good that in 2013 it was given the title of the Best Beach in America. This beach has several places to stop for a drink or a snack, as well as bathrooms. It is the perfect place for a day out with all of the amenities you could want. Soft sand, beautiful scenery, and perfect weather make East Hampton the ideal location for a beach trip.

Palm Beach, Florida

Here lie the well-known Gay Head Cliffs which is a national landmark and offers a stunning backdrop to a beautiful beach. This means you can drive your family here and be on the seafront in no time, ready to spend a fantastic day on this beach. It is located on the west side of the Island and should be easy enough to find if you follow directions on your phone.

Cape May, New Jersey

If you are looking for a weekend away somewhere with lovely beaches and charming hotels and are in the New Jersey area then look no further.
