Best Brunch in Orange County: Toast Kitchen & Bakery
We had brunch at Toast in Orange County as a guest
Brunch is my meal to dine out. I am always on the lookout for a hot new brunch spot. I recently stumbled upon my new favorite place to have brunch in Orange County ~ Toast Kitchen & Bakery!
Location of Toast in Orange County
The restaurant is in the heart of Costa Mesa. It is on Newport Boulevard at the corner of 17th Street. It has a small outdoor patio, a large indoor dining room, and a bar.
My daughter loves brunch as much as me, and she couldn’t wait to dine with me. I made plans for us to dine before exploring the new Balboa Island Museum. We found a table inside the restaurant, and the server immediately came over to take our order. Brunch is not brunch without a mimosa, and they have many different kinds of juices to pick. I ended up getting a blood orange mimosa that was the perfect start to our day.
The menu is amazing. There is something for everyone, and we had trouble picking out only one item.
Avocado Toast
First, we started by sharing the avocado toast. The toast featured lemon ricotta, rooibos pickled cauliflower, purple radish, flowering kale, popcorn shots, and citrus olive oil. The toast was pure perfection, and even better with sous vide egg.
Acai Bowl
Along with the avocado toast, we savored every bite of the refreshing acai bowl. It has such a beautiful presentation, and the flavors are as amazing as the way it looks.
The acai bowl comes with hemp seed granola, coconut, apple honey butter, and farmer’s market berries.
Eggs Benedict
If there are eggs Benedict on a menu, it is what I always end up ordering. The eggs Benedict Arnold Palmer is the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had in Orange County. It comes with chai smoked prosciutto, poached eggs, lemon hollandaise, arugula, chai vinaigrette on top of an English muffin. I was in heaven with every delicious bite.
Fried Chicken and Waffles
My daughter decided to order the fried chicken and waffles. The presentation was incredible. Also, the chicken features herb buttermilk brined hot fried chicken. The chicken comes on top of a Belgian waffle. It is perfection with vanilla butter and maple syrup.
In addition, they also serve lunch and dinner at Toast. I can’t wait to come back to sample those menus too. I guarantee that Toast will become your favorite place to have brunch in Orange County after your first visit.
