Best Places for Apple Picking in Southern California

Labor Day weekend marks the official start of apple picking season in Southern California. This year, local farms have trees that are full of apples for your family to come and pick to bring home. It’s not just about picking apples, but about creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Riley’s Apple Farm
12201 S. Oak Glen Road
Oak Glen/Yucaipa, CA 92399

10am to 4pm

Archery, Tomahawk, & Knife Throw cost $1 each. Hayrides are $3 per adult & $2 per child. Cider Press is $15 per gallon. Cider Press shuts down early (3pm or sooner) so you’ll want to check in early to do that.

Willowbrook Apple Farm
12099 S. Oak Glen Rd.
Yucaipa, CA 92399

Open weekends
10 AM – 4 PM

Bring your family to pick apples from this family owned farm with trees that are over 100 years old. While at the farm there is U-Press Cider, caramel apples, and more!

Snow Line Orchard
39400 Oak Glen Rd
Yucaipa, CA 92399

Daily 9am to 5pm

While this is not an u-pick orchard, families need to plan a visit to get some of their famous apple cider donuts while in the area. They are something that you’ll not want to miss! For a limited-time there is raspberry picking that is so much fun for little ones.

Riley’s at Los Rios
39611 Oak Glen Rd #13
Oak Glen, CA 92399

From the San Bernardino Freeway (IS-10), exit at Live Oak Canyon/Oak Glen Rd. and go north 8 miles, through Oak Glen

They have a petting zoo & play area that is open during Apple Season. The cost is $5.00 per person to enter and $0.50 per cup of feed if you wish to feed the animals. There is also apple picking and a beautiful trail to go hiking with your family at The Wildlands Conservancy at the Oak Glen Preserve.

  1. Does anyone know of a place that lets you pick on Fridays? I went to one last year but don’t remember the name, and the websites are not very clear.
