Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven in Santa Rosa

We dined at Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven as a guest of Santa Rosa

Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven

One of my favorite restaurants that I visited while in Santa Rosa was the Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven. The restaurant is a short drive from The Sandman Hotel, and offers guests authentic Indian cuisine with an upscale ambiance.

Interior of Bollywood Bar & Clay Oven

The minute that I walked into the restaurant I felt like I was in a restaurant located in Manhattan. The space blends rustic elements, like unfinished wood and exposed brick, with modern furniture. We took a seat at one of the tables on the second floor and got ready to dine on Indian classics paired with local wine.

I love Indian food, and one of my favorite dishes is Pani Puri. It is traditional Indian street food, and it is rarely seen on a menu. I was so excited to sink my tastebuds into the authentic dish. The refreshing appetizer features sprouted moong, beets and green juice inside of a crispy shell. With my first bite, I was swept back to the streets of Indian eating this local dish.

The best way to enjoy Indian food is family-style. Together with my friends, we tasted many of the main dishes. Of course, a favorite at the table was the chicken tikka masala with fenugreek and tomato. The sauce was so delicious and I couldn’t resist dipping my garlic naan into it.
