The Book of Mormon Date Night

We attended as a guest of the venue

The Book of Mormon at the segerstrom center for the arts

When was the last time that you had a date night? While we are typically good about having regular date nights, we have been so busy with our work and kid schedules that we haven’t found the time to go out together in quite awhile. When I got news that The Book of Mormon was coming to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, I immediately got on the phone with my babysitter to plan a date night with my husband.

Lamb Shank

We began our evening by joining some friends for dinner next door at Leatherby’s Cafe Rouge for The Book of Mormon-themed dinner. The prix-fixe menu featured mouthwatering dishing including a tender lamb shank and tiramisu for just $47 per person. We savored every bite of the delicious cuisine prepared by the talented Chef Ross before walking over to the theatre to see the show.

From the moment that we walked into the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, there was an overwhelming sense of excitement in the air. The theatre was filled with so much laughter and smiles before the performance even started. When the curtain began to rise everyone in the theatre started clapping with enthusiasm, and the show began.

I have never been to a musical quite like The Book of Mormon before. I was doubled over in my seat with laugher throughout the entire performance, and my husband enjoyed it just as much as I did. The musical took us on a hysterical journey of two Mormon missionaries on a quest to share the word of the Lord in Africa.

The acting was fantastic, the music was excellent, and the story was humorous. I enjoyed every minute of the musical, and it quickly became one of my favorite musicals that I’ve seen at The Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

Book of Mormon Date Night

We had an epic date night seeing The Book of Mormon, and we were talking about our favorites parts of the production on the way home. I highly recommend parents hiring a babysitter, and having a date night at The Segerstrom Center for the Arts to see The Book of Mormon. The production will only be in Orange County until April 3rd, and tickets start at $56 each.

I don’t recommend this production for children due to the explicit language.
